    A. Davis will not be eligible to play until week 4 as they placed him on IR today along with J. Davis and McDermott.

I know. My comment is sort of tongue in cheek. I've said I like the direction the organization is heading. But fid you read the quotes? 10 years and playoff-less football and we're being told to be patient. It's annoying for me.

Actually gore was pretty good, he ran hard, and gave it his all. But we were rebuilding, I keep thinking of gases opening news conference, and it makes me feel better. Btw, I would give gore the ball instead of Perine if I needed 1 yd!

It is quite sad that we wasted so much time with massively incompetent hires, that is for sure. I do agree that being reminded of our past history is quite annoying to say the list, and starting over again is quite disappointing.

I think we will surprise a lot of people this year. We will be competitive and fun to watch again.

Actually, this is refreshing to me. It's what I've expected all a long. They have some veterans to lead, but I fully expected this year to be all about the young players...developing them and seeing who can help them going forward. I think that is the wisest course of action. No need to bring in a bunch of veterans to take snaps and developmental time away from the youngsters, and artificially inflate the record. It's better imo to roll with the kids, let them take their lumps, grow together, and have good draft position again next year to get the optimal use of all the picks that JD acquired. By bringing in several vets, it would hurt the development of the kids and would be lessening the value of those draft picks. This was never going to be a 2-year turnaround. If they draft in the top 10 again they'll better be able to fill holes either by taking players they really want or trading down, getting additional picks and being able to add more players.

In the meantime is it ok to wonder why the jets would bring back Griffin and Brown as backup TEs? Good grief!

I know, hate it. I think brown is for STs…. Griffin, not a fan. I was furious when we resigned him.

Yes, I am perplexed by that move, but have a couple of ideas. One, there were negotiations to trade for Zach Ertz, but they fell through. Two, they had to keep Davis and a couple of others on the roster until today before they could be put on IR, and they knew that no one would claim Brown and Griffin.

Evidently, just as JD did a year ago, he decided not to put lipstick on a pig. He's not going to try to artificially pump up their record. They are using this year solely to develop and evaluate all their young players. If they win, great, but if not, JD will have the draft position and draft picks with which to replace those that need replacing/upgrading.

Ashtyn Davis was slated to come off PUP and be ready by week 2 but I'm sure that he wouldn't be ready by then so they gave Davis more time...aka Week 4 is the goal for him to get up to speed. Redwine is a solid backup plan in case Maye or Joyner gets hurt. Neasman will be gone once Davis comes back.

The first sentence of that crappy piece of shit makes me vomit.

"Get ready for the Triple A Jets"

What an absolutely crap piece of gutter-rag, yellow press, tabloid SHIT.

What the fuck should we be getting ready for? A Super Bowl parade? We've been bush league for a fucking decade, you don't just click your fingers and put everything right.

Was that accompanied by a detailed portion of the Jets roster and numerous demonstrative proclamations of passion?
