We are used to this kind of ineptitude. It’s Sam I feel bad for. Kid has star potential and he’s stuck with this. At this rate it’s 50/50 he’ll even get a mega deal... he’s got the talent for two of them.
what the hell do you expect him to say.... Look the team is better then last years' version but if anyone things this team is playoff caliber, I have some land for sale in No AZ I'd like to sell you. Hopefully, they will be able to execute, be physical and competitive and win a few games along the way. I want to see Sam progress and HC call good games.
I don't expect him to say, "Our skill position players stink" right before the season starts. And if one looks hard enough, it's conceivable that the playmakers we have might do better than many expect. Bell(if he's not toast), Herndon(if he stays healthy), Crowder, Perriman(if his last 5 games are a sign of things to come), and Mims in the red zone as he learns to expand his route tree could have our offense be middle of the pack if there are no injuries like 2015. Lots of ifs for sure. We'll have to wait to get an offense that's above average, but it's not out of the question to see an offense that's watchable as the season progresses and OL builds cohesion.
I agree. I am not thrilled with our receiver corp. Outside of the TE's. Perriman is beat up and Mims hasn't played the entire preseason.
Very nicely said. The potential is there to be excited, nothing wrong with that. How it eventually materializes is a different story. You would have thought he said “We will have one of the top WRs corps in the league“. In fact, I’m pretty excited myself to see how this new draft class and free agents jell together. All I hope for is a fun, hard playing, give it 100% every week type of team.
How many of those ifs really turn into sure things...they all won’t and in order for this team to be good they do. They stink
I get it. Just fed up of hearing it yr after yr..same w edge.Its just another whole season crossed off the calendar that theyre shrugging their shoulders at an impactful position group being completely barren of legit talent & rationalizing it w mickey mouse wishful thinking. You can be convinced that next yr is the yr they finally address decade long glaring holes that have held the franchise back just as long..but i ran out of patience & trust 3 “next year’s” ago.
