    some team should interview a chinaman......just to restore some of Frazier's self-esteem.

    I really hate this fukin rule but ....
    It's no longer necessary? NOPE.

    WTF. we have a 1/2 Black preisdent so it's all good in da hood?

    No way. I think the rule needs to be tweaked but it has to be there.
    Is it wrong to give someone a job because the color of their skin? ABSOLUTELY.
    But it's not wrong to give everyone an opportunity especially with the amount of racism still in this country.

    THAT SAID.
    You hire based on Qualifications and which direction you wanna take your Billion $ Business.
    If you are going to be racist then you know what, your going to fail anyway.

    Couldn't they just interview Art Shell so there's a reason the Rooney Rule candidate didn't get the job?

    My .02:

    I am not a fan of creating uneven playing fields. I think rules like this help to fuel racial division so I don't like it.

    HOWEVER, I realize how deep racism runs in this country as I have been a victim of it myself and reluctantly understand the need for such seemingly silly rules, if only to call it out.

    I hear ya. When I think about how ninja chipmunks have been treated through the years in this country, it turns my stomach.

    I think the rule has become outdated, without question. If it's reached the point where minority candidates refuse to be interviewed because of the rule, than it's not doing anyone any justice.

    I'm not sure if the spirit of the rule is outdated but it's implementation definitely is. Maybe barring a team from coming up with a contract prior to interviewing all candidates(See: Seattle and Carrol) would be a better rule. Either that or just make them interview Gus the Field Goal Kicking Mule.

    No in the past teams were lazy and didn't look outside the box, the Steelers' coaching search is the reason for the rule, in the past they would have never even thought of interviewing a guy from a different organization when they had 2 good in-house candidates in Grimm and Whisenhunt, this rule gives the candidates interviewing experience and exposure in the coaching landscape
