maybe you should've talked to the chargers before they decided to draft ryan leaf

scouting reports are 90% bullshit. doesnt matter what player, its always bullshit. i could care less about what some dude who watches college ball from time to time thinks about a certain player because we all have different opinions. besides the report you just came up with said clemens should go in the 6th round. of course you decided not to paste that part in there because it would make the whole thing look foolish.

Actually, Many reports had him in the sixth round, but didnt explain that as he healed up he moved up the draft boards.

I didnt not paste it to make an editorial point, and the second one I pasted had him as a third rounder, but BOTH concurred on the arm stregnth.

THe point I am trying to make is that the Coaching staff doesnt want Ryan Leaf, or Terry Bradshaw.

They Want Pennington. Or a guy just like him.

Kellen Clemens is a Drew Brees Clone.

Come on, man, most scouting reports are self-contradictory rubbish. I'm not putting any eggs into the Kellen Clemens basket just yet, but just watching his preseason games I can tell you that his throwing motion is much tighter so he gets better zip off the ball automatically just from that. He also has a much better body mechanic, and it results in getting through the motion much quicker getting him more time to make a decision. Arm-strength aside, his mechanics make me very optimistic about his chances.

I am more concerned with his mental ability to think quickly enough in the pocket with an NFL rush coming at him and the decision process as far as anticipating the play and chooing the right receivers, but these are questions awaiting any untested QB in this league. Pointing to some schlub's college scouting report only tells the story up until the end of college, and tells nothing after a player is coached at this level.

Exactly! Brady was known for having a mediocre arm but compared to Chad he has a howitzer of an arm. Chad Pennington may have the weakest arm in NFL history. I actually believe this.

If Clemens gets some pass protection, you're going to see some things. Mark my words!

    LOL
That's why we drafted him, He is a young Chad Pennington -- and he'll fit right into our Offensive Scheme.

Jaws has a face only a Mother could love, but he knows football. He's analysis is almost always spot on.

If you've ever read Clemens comments he sounds like CP. He says things like it is more important to manage a game than to try and win one.

Really there is no point in putting your hopes in KC. A cheap CP immitation.

The Chargers not only drafted Ryan Leaf, they traded up to do it.

Billy Kilmer. Nobody had a worse arm than Kilmer.

Next year, we draft/sign OL and DL early after we learn our lesson this year.

Our DL sucked last year and our QB(s) and RB will be worthlesss without a monster OL.

Oh well, the FO knows better than we do.... corrrect?

PS Bellychick has been exposed for the little runt he is!!!
