Regardless of how worthy you may believe his opinion is, or your own for that matter, the bolded is totally uncalled for, not funny and possibly hurtful to people here who have suffered or have had experience with friends and family so suffering. You owe him and every reader here an apology.
How horrible would you feel if Br4d IS suffering from mental illness? Your quickness to ignore and disregard his possible cries for help…..#Selfish
Burks is the total package. He is an absolute stud with his combination of speed, skill and size. The kid uses 5 XL gloves!!! I think he’s the best player in the draft.
If the top 10 plays out like this, I think JD would take Ekwonu at 4 and then Jermaine Johnson at 10 and I wouldn't be mad about those picks at all.
I'd probably cry if we took burks at 4 and lloyd at 10. that's awful spots for them. we could trade back and get both those players in the middle of the round and a bag of picks
If I thought it was at all funny I would not have commented in the first place. It was either a very poor choice of words or extreme ignorance. And you've stepped up to defend it? Great.
I like Burks also and they say he might go higher than mid-round if he has a great showing at the combines. So yourr mock would be spot on with the Jets grabbing him at 4. Burks has the size and speed to help Zach and the Jets
Not saying anything about it being “funny”; I’m saying it could be painfully true. There’s a reason I don’t dig into Br4d like I do others… Most people have loved ones who’re no longer the person we used to know. You can dismiss other’s concerns as a joke.
Well, that sounds like you have no complaint with what I posted, I just wonder why you bothered to comment.
I back tracked to see what you and KingRoach were arguing about and saw this. In hindsight, yes, it was a poor comment on my part. My patience for reading for the thousandth or more time that Br4d thinks Wilson was a wasted pick and the Jets are doomed ran out. At the time I actually thought I was doing better than just calling him crazy or ignorant, but in re-reading it I can see where it comes across as if I'm making an actual "diagnosis", which of course even if I were qualified to do, since I don't him, would be impossible for me to do. In any case, bad comment. I'm sorry.
I trust your judgment. I'm skeptical of all these edge rushers and I think the Jets should stay away from them early. Now if they want to trade back in if Jermaine Johnson is still on the board that I would do.
He’s an immediate go to guy for Wilson I just don’t know how you pass on that. JD needs to have the balls to pick the right guy for our team and not follow the consensus. Same way how the Bengals took Chase over Sewell and got ridiculed for it at the time. Nobody is saying anything about it now. Burks has huge potential and is a true football player. We can’t pass on him!
I disagree. I don’t follow the consensus I trust my eyes and Burks is the best player in the draft. Besides the ceiling of Stingley I think Lloyd is the second best player in the draft. Following the consensus is for the sheep. Make your own views on prospects by putting the time in and watching them play. If you have the time watch Burks and Lloyd a little closer and compare them to the Ekwonu’s and Neal’s and Karlafti’s of this draft it’s not even close. Burks and Lloyd are way better prospects.
I’d be so upset I’d want him fired on the spot if he passed on Burks/Lloyd for those guys. Even though I think highly of JJ
I don't care about the consensus but in no way shape or form is burks the bets player in this draft. it's clearly hamilton followed by hutchinson. You can maybe make a case for him as the top WR but even then it's not a lock in the way that hamilton is by and far the best prospect in this class. you can have your opinion but i'd be curious to how you can say burks is a better prospect then hamilton
