Interesting build. The first thing that jumps out at me is do you really think we can get more for trading Sewell to Cinn then Fields to the stable of teams that will be interested? I'd also question CInn giving up a 1st and 2nd to move up to take Sewell. Never know though. However, we'd be letting a Fields trade drop to Miami which would practically make them a SB team.

I like the RB at 28 if the 5 was an o-linemen to add along with Thurney.

    Interesting take though.

Thank you. Yes I toyed with a few teams for that 2nd spot and Fields. There are a few teams that I’m sure will fall in love with him. I just kept coming back to how Burrows Leg got snapped and they need a LT more than anyone in the league. It’s a steep price but we spent 3 second rounders to go from 6 to 3 so I felt a 1st and a 2nd to go from 5 to 2 makes sense.

in that scenario I see the Falcons swapping picks with Miami for Fields and they take Devante Smith at 4

It may be a controversial take, but I would much rather they take Ja'Marr Chase or Devonta Smith at 5 if they don't like Fields or Wilson over Rousseau.

I'm not even sure if Rousseau is the best EDGE in this class anymore, Kwitty Paye and Joseph Ossai have definitely closed that gap and maybe even surpassed him.

I'd rather keep trading down if we don't take a QB. if we can trade down to 10ish i'd be happy with pitts. taking the next kittle/kelce would be huge for whoever we have at QB. lots of good WRs enter the draft but a TE like pitts is pretty rare.

I think that number 10 could be the sweet spot in this draft.

If we simply want the best player available regardless of position there will be many great options for us,

yeah i think 10-20 is a really strong spot in this draft. 23 could be great with someone slipping down for our SEA pick. trading down and building a team could be huge for us. we could also sign fitz and keep sam for a year like miami did with tua/fitz and won 10 games

    That is where we disagree.

I think somewhere between 12-15 there is a drop to the next tier of talent depending on how many teams reach.

You absolutely could be right and I agree about Davonta Smith. He literally could be the second coming of Jerry Rice

I don't see it. i think the draft is weak at the top end. once you get past 8 or so i think it's pretty balanced up until the late teens

Building a team before getting a franchise QB is really putting the cart before the horse. If Justin Fields is good enough to be a our FQB, it would be beyond idiotic to pass on him on the grounds that "We're not ready for someone like him yet". It really doesn't need to be done in this situation either. They have enough cap space and draft picks to grab both a FQB and starting to build around him at the same time.
