Agreed Beckham isn't a slot receiver at all... Landry was that guy much more for LSU

He does need to work on his drops no doubt... BUT he's a 1st round talent and you will see that as fact soon enough

I Would Be Sick If This Happened

Benjamin drops a lot of passes. If Ebron is gone I would take Amaro or WR Beckham. I definitely don't want Ha-Ha at 18. Its takes those Alabama players to long to get up to speed on the pro game.

Benjamin is a stud. Highest potential of any WR in this draft by far.

He needs to work on his concentration with drops because its not his hands nor body control!

OMG. Now you're saying that he's better or can be better than Watkins? ROFLMAO. Dude, are you Benjamin's mother or something?

Yes he has a higher ceiling than Watkins and so does Evans BUT BUT BUT Sammy has a higher floor than Benjamin or any other WR in the draft.

I love Sammy Watkins and would take him over Benjamin in a NY minute!

    Benjamin .......High ceiling.......really low floor.

Risky option....I wouldn't take the chance at #18.

Look at a list of the WRs drafted in Rd 1 the last 10 years.....half were total garbage.

Oh i know all about Sammy! He is a stud too!

Sammy is an absolute lock to be a #1 WR. His floor of potential is very high!

This is one of the deepest WR drafts in a long time.

I like players that have a chance to be a superstar... 18 is the bottom half of the draft and I would like an aggressive approach to land a potential star that happens to be a position of need.

I guess i'm a sucker for boom or bust picks :jets:

You just made a point not to reach for a WR at #18.

Maybe.. I think beyond Watkins, Evans, Lee and Benjamin there is a decent gap.

IMO it breaks down like this for the top 15 WRs in terms of talent, skill and athleticism:

    Watkins

    Evans

    Benjamin

    Lee

    Robinson
    Beckham

    Adams

    Mathews

    Landry

    Coleman

    Abbrederis
    Richardson

    Huff
    Cooks

    Moncrief

My opinion could change before the draft, but I have them rated a good bit differently (as you might suspect! lol)

    1st Round

    Evans

    Lee
    Beckham

    2nd Round
    Cooks
    Matthews
    Robinson

    Benjamin

    Adams
    Landry

    3rd Round
    Abbrederis
    Richardson
    Moncrief

    4th Round
    Coleman

    5th Round and lower
    Huff

DJ is a former scout i respect and he loves Benjamin over Beckham too!

Can't argue with a guy who has been a scout for 3 NFL franchises

LOL. I got a great laugh out of that. I appreciate your sense of humor. I have to admit that I thought about dropping him to the third to needle you, but didn't. I seriously think he's a mid-2nd to lower 2nd round prospect at this point, not because of a lack of talent, but because of a lack of experience and NFL readiness. I'm sure someone will probably take him in the 1st round, but I think they'll be overdrafting him. If they take him in the first, it will be because of his physical size, speed and ceiling/potential.

Because of his size and speed, he has a ton of potential. He also had huge production this past year at FSU, but it was only one season. My take on him is that he's raw. He needs work on route running and on his hands, that's why I rated him as low as I did. I think if he had waited until next year to enter the draft, he would have probably been a top 10 if not top 5 pick if he continued developing.

I think Beckham, Cooks, Robinson, and Matthews all have better hands and route running skills at this point than Benjamin. His ceiling is higher than all of those guys except possibly Beckham, but I think he is less NFL ready than any of those guys. I think any of those 4 can step in and contribute immediately at a fairly high level. I don't see Benjamin doing that. I think it could very well take him at least a half season, if not a whole season to improve, and that's if he works hard and lands with the right CS.

Sure I can when he rates Manziel as a better pro QB prospect than Bridgewater and has Benjamin, Cooks and Landry rated well ahead of Beckham.

Rating Manziel ahead of Bridgewater totally discredits Jeremiah imo. If they were being rated for another college team, then I could see picking Manziel, but with Manziel's small size and his propensity to run rather than throw the ball, there's no way he's a better NFL prospect than Bridgewater imo.

Why has he worked for three different teams already when he looks so young? Was he fired from each of them? That would be my guess, because usually if someone is good, they stick with the same team.

I respect that opinion and do agree that Benjamin is raw. Thing is I look at what will help the Jets win SB! I want players that have a chance to grow up in the NFL and be great. Benjamin has all the tools to be great. He has the tools to be a super star because of his rare size, speed and strength. Will he 100%? NO, but the potential is there and it makes me salivate giving MM that type of weapon.

We probably will end up drafting a defensive player anyways lol

I dont agree with the Johnny football ranking much either... Bridgewater IMO is the better prospect but DJ has done the job at the highest level. Fired or not he made it... and we don't know for sure what happened there...

Almost everything else was on point though... Except maybe Pryor higher than Ha Ha by one slot.

Off topic but what is your take on Aaron Murray?
