    Beasley didn't declare

I'd rather have Odell Beckham Jr at #18, if we take a receiver, than Benjamin.

    ya i meant Ealy there.

There is no chance i would rather take Becks jr than Benjamin... Becks wasn't arguably the best WR on his team... Landry got more looks!

Plus i take into consideration our scouts opinion! AND our core staff was at the Florida vs Florida st game where Benjamin lit them up for 3 TDs and 212 yards!!! I would think they have him in high regard after that performance. Plus IMO he has the highest ceiling out of ANT WR in this draft. He's a potential superstar!!!

Not to pile on, but I'd 2nd the Beckham selection as well.

I mentioned the Ebron to NYG possibility yesterday in another draft thread with the Giants going with the thinking that their OL line woes were mostly injury-related and could be addressed in FA (and later in the draft) in order to grab this talented plum (Ebron). One other pick that I thought the Giants might go after *if he's still there* would be CJ Mosley whom you had the Bears grabbing.

I think Beckham has a higher ceiling as a player over Landry.

Both players are very good, Jarvis Landry is a clutch player.

Both Beckham and Benjamin are still over valued at 18.

I'm not as high on Benjamin as most on this site, he's still very raw and has a questionable work ethic. High Risk player compared to other WRs in this draft.

I dont get the Beckham jr love in the first round??? For me he is a mid 2nd rounder... He caught almost 20 passes less than his team mate Landry!!!!! Because of one, one handed catch it seems people have fallen in love.... I dont buy it!!

I could see CJ being drafted by the Giants for sure good call there. I think with Knicks most likely leaving they will need another threat and they are pretty soft at TE. We will see.

Rams need a Stud OT to keep Sam healthy.

Reason i really really like this player is that he is red zone threat something we urgently need PLUS on tape he absolutly torched every CB he faces in man coverage. If teams didn't double him it was a lock he would score and get at least 100 yards per game.

His work ethic i haven't heard/read any derogatory comments. In fact all i have heard/read is that he was dedicated to get better after his freshman year where he had 500 yards and 4 TDs... This year he had over a 1000 yards and 15 TDs... Thats a fantastic leap forward IMO!

I just hope he is still on the board at 18...

Who are the Rams WR's beside Austin? Exactly!

The Wiz loves WR's and they will loose Britt and Washington is old...

Agreed but Fisher has flat out said he doesn't like taking OL in the first round... They will address that in the later rounds!

Rams have 2 picks in Rd 1, they would be insane not drafting an OT. Matthews and Robinson will be available.

Nah. Id say Im a pretty big fan on Benjamin, but there's no chance Id take him over Beckham. I dont know why people dont love him more. I dont really see a weakness to his game. And he is without a doubt better than Landry. Landry is a very good player, but Beckham is dynamic in every sense of the word.

There's only 2 WRs in the draft that I would take over ODB in all honesty.

Also, not really sure why Tennessee would draft Mike Evans. They just drafted Justin Hunter last year, and Kendal Wright the previous year, and still have Nate Washington.

Crazy to think Becks is a better prospect than Benjamin... He has done nothing on tape besides one, one hander to give him 1st round potential... Especially when he didn't get the coverage Benjamin did... Landry was the go to guy for LSU IMO...

To put it in perspective Landry was like the Antonio Brown and Beckham was the Wallace of the steelers from a few years ago...

Kelvin has a chance to be Calvin! Yes i said it!!!!

    Because Washington is done...

The Wiz loves big WRs ala Fitz and Allen..

Wright is a slot guy like Kerley and then they have Evans and Hunter on the outside.

    Thats my logic

Kelvin Benjamin's potential isn't too far from Calvin Johnson. The big question is if he'll ever reach it.

I agree.. the unknown is the unknown.. But i'd rather take a shot at something great than a chance on something good!

Rock, give people more credit than that-lol. The 1-hand snatch vs. Iowa in the bowl game was just the icing on the cake. The kid is a polished route runner as well as being dynamic to the point he can take a hitch pass the distance.

Wallace is more of a straight-line receiver than Beckham due partly to his gait being more gangly than the smooth-as-silk, more versatile Beckham. Beckham can break off a pattern on a dime and is shiftier than Wallace. What feet! Wallace when he gets behind you can take it to the house with his straight-line speed. Beckham can fake guys out of their jocks en route to then using his own straight-line speed to take it the distance. Landry will be a solid, dependable WR at the next level; Beckham's capable of being a home run-hitting star.

As for Kelvin, he is a physical mismatch for those college DBs no doubt about it, but he's not yet as polished as Beckham.

And yes he has a chance to be Calvin, and yes, you said it!!!
And he also has a chance to be a work ethic-challenged Johnny Mitchell, yes I said it!!!

And if Beckham were indeed a 2nd rounder like you said, I'd be more than happy with Ebron-Beckham.

In my description of Brown/Wallace vs Landry/Beckham i wasn't comparing their skill sets more their contributions to their respective teams.. Brown would simply get more looks and touches than Wallace as Landy did over Beckham.

I'm not hating on Beckham i think he can be a solid pro but when comparing him to Benjamin it's not close... His ceiling is Victor Cruz and Benjamins is Megatron!

Because of Landy's play Beckham didn't get the FS doubling as often as Benjamin did. Benjamin when he had single coverage absolutely destroyed opposing teams and Winston would go that way almost every time when in single man coverage.

Even when doubled he managed to score in the redzone on fades and crossing routes.

The big bonus is that our scouts were at the Florida st/Florida game where Benjamin blew the roof of Florida with his prolific performance. :breakdance:

I'd love Ebron but IMO he will be loooong gone by 18... To many team in the top half that need a pass catching TE
