True, however, it's also for people like me who grew up playing sports and never had time to learn an instrument. Now I live in regret because I never learned the guitar and I live vicariously through the game. I suck.
I'm not trying to diss anyone for playing a video game. I just think with all the time these kids spend playing Guitar Hero, they could spend that wasted time learning to play a real instrument, but a person can spend their time however they choose.
I like it because I can jump right into it and play some of my favorite songs. I can see why people don't like them, but I can also see why they are smash hits. All depends on your mindset.
I'm not thrilled about the song list. They need to add alot more hard rock from the 80's. No Crue, Ratt or Ozzy??
i hate when people make the stupid argument "if only kids spent as much time playing a real instrument as they do playing guitar hero." it is a video game. and it really has very little to do with playing real guitar.
