Very sad news. He was so great and made so many people smile. RIP. Depression is a very sad/scary thing.
He was such a great comic and actor- very sad that he passed away.. When I read the news I was in disbelief, and it's so sad, he was only 63..
I wish Robin WIlliams' character (Dr. Sean Maguire) from Good Will Hunting was there for the real Robin Williams
LOVED Jack as a kid, especially as someone who had few friends in elementary school...I related alot to that movie.
Sad news. I wouldn't want depression on my worst enemey. I remember the laughs I got from Ms. Doubtfire and Jumanji May his soul RIP.
I was very sad to hear of his passing, he brought so much laughter and joy to the world it is very sad to find out he was suffering to the point he thought suicide was his only option. I loved a lot of his movies and also maintain his Live on Broadway show is one of the best standup specials I have ever seen. RIP Robin.
Good Will Hunting is one of the better films I've seen. The story doesn't focus much on his wife's death at all; he alludes to it and talks anecdotally about her as a way to enlighten Will, but her illness and death isn't actually seen in the movie. Definitely recommend watching it.
GREAT movie! One scene that always stuck in my head was in Patch Adams when he makes the giant legs to spread open for the front door to let the doctors in hahaha Patch Adams was an absolute classic. Such a great actor and comedian. This is killing me.
I was wondering the same thing. What is apparent asphyxiation? Was there a plastic bag around his head? I wonder why they refuse to say what they found. Usually if they hang themselves they flat out say that, but this leads me to believe something else happened. Is there a chance he was murdered? Man, I did not see this coming at all. Too many good movies to list them all.
So sad to hear that this happened... I can hardly believe it.. Such a great actor and wonderful personality- there was really nobody else like him in the world. I don't want to have that image in my head. If you think about it for a few minutes I think you'll be able to figure out what it means. The reason they aren't saying the exact details is because he has a family and they deserve privacy beyond those basic details. To answer your last question: no.
No offense but that sounds like a cop out. They didn't spare any details when they reported David Carradine's death and it was way more humiliating than this. Does he not have a family or deserve privacy? I'm just trying to understand what actually happened. Asphyxiation could be caused by numerous things and there seemed to be a question about it, considering they said "apparent", as if they aren't completely sure. I'd rather know the details.
They were horrible with how they reported David Carradine, but that happened in Thailand and things are different over there vs California. In some countries they'd post photos on the front page of the news (i.e. when snorkelers drown in certain resort/tropical countries and their bodies are recovered.) "Apparent" just means that his house didn't show any signs of having been broken into (i.e. no broken windows, forced locks, etc) and that there was no sign of a fight or struggle around his body.
I still can't believe this is real. This is absolutely shocking. The guy had a triple bypass yet dies because of suicide. I am in total shock.
