I've seen many rookies play QB. I've seen far more fail based on the way he has played as a rookie, than I've seen succeed. By far.

So Lawrence, Fields and Wilson all have their stories written already in your mind?

That’s another thing that’s baked in. There are plenty of dropped picks every single week from both good and bad quarterbacks. You don’t hold the dropped ones against them because they didn’t result in a turnover.

Out of all three of them. None of them have played at a level that shows they "belong" to me, yet.

That doesn't mean It wont happen.

Just saying. When you look at the history of the QB's that have found success VS those that haven't. I'm not sure these QB's are on the right side of those trends.

List the ones that have looked good with 7 games under their belt...

    I'll wait.

The good ones have far more games that resemble complete games like Minshew just laid down against our Defense. I don't recall Minshew throwing anything that resembled what I seen from Wilson. Consistency Is huge In the NFL. Every QB certainly catches those breaks, I understand that. My problem Is that because Zach Wilson's accuracy has been that bad, you are seeing A LOT of those types of passes than we all should. I remember this very thing being a huge problem with Sam Darnold.

Ironically I recall defending Darnold In a similar fashion at the time with you. You were right In the end. I was wrong.

It's still early, very early. I guess being burned by my blind belief In Darnold has me at this point now. We try to learn from our mistakes as we go, right? Maybe that's what I'm doing here. Admittedly, probably a little premature to draw In firm conclusions yet. It's just how I feel and I am trying to be unbiased here. I promise I am.

Kyler, Wentz, Herbert, Burrow, Dak… Lamar although that was a different kind of play of course.

The season Isn't over.. From just a rookie QB standpoint though.

    Looked Good, Was Good:

    Cam Newton
    Big Ben
    Andrew Luck
    Lamar Jackson
    Justin Herbert
    Kyler Murray
    Deshaun Watson
    Jameis Winston
    Matt Ryan
    Joe Flacco

    Looked Good, Wasn't Good:

    Robert Griffin
    Vince Young
    Mark Sanchez

Didn't play much or at all, Turned out Good:
    Aaron Rodgers
    Patty Mahomes
    Phillip Rivers
    Chad Pennington
    Joe Burrow (injured)

Didn't look all that good, turned out good:
    Michael Vick
    Carson Palmer
    Eli Manning
    Alex Smith
    Jay Cutler (?)
    Peyton Manning
    Matthew Stafford
    Josh Allen

Dog Shit from start to finish:
    A long fucking list.

So there Is hope. This Is also a lazy put together thing. Still...

I hope for the best, expect the worst. It's just the way It Is right now. Nothing has popped off at me that gives me hope yet. I trust by the loud and proud, that this will most certainly change for me soon this season. I look forward to being wrong.

Huh? Sanchez was awful. He threw for 168 yards a game en route to 10 picks. Vince Young completed 46% of his passes in his first 7 games.

I can also name very good QB's that got off to a questionable start. Playing QB as a rookie doesn't define their career. Sometimes it's not about the QB as it is the team he lands on that determines how fast a QB developes.

Again. Went by rookie season and you are nitpicking two people out of that entire list. Sanchez I included because most of us thought we actually had the Sanchise at the time. I remember VY feeling special his rookie year.. Time has passed.

Either way. You got the point, no?

EDIT: I was asked for names, I gave names. It's not like I am putting this out as gospel here and pounding the table for all to hear. I don't usually take the bait, I did this time, It Is what It Is.

I do and it’s tough to rebound from a dreadful rookie year. But you stretched a couple of those - one of those that we had a first hand experiencing watching every week.

I don't disagree completely. It can go either way. I also think that there are indicators as a rookie QB that show trends on what kind of QB they will become. There are obvious exceptions to the rule as well.

Point Is. I'm not optimistic right now. I hope that changes. That's all.

I understand where you going with this but enough with the Minshew against the Jets comparison. Worthless IMO. The absolute worst game planning D in the league. Hell if Wilson played against the Jets D he would have had two more TD. We are comparing apples and bananas defense wise. Darnold even prove that. All QB bitch slap us as RBs do.

It's comments and posts like this that get me...

I can list a lot of things that concern me with our rookie QB.

For the life of me, I can't understand how you can possibly be so sure In your stance given the factual evidence that's already been made available to all of us through watching these last 7 games of, Zach Wilson.

I'm still waiting and trying to understand how you are so sure this kid Is going to be good. I don't get It.

I'm not talking about blind faith, your belief, I'm talking about what you and I both have seen from this kid.

    What am I missing?

I'm seeing all the shit I don't want to see, what am I missing? Help me understand.
