I'll admit he has surprised me. I thought he was too small to be anything more than a straight line deep guy. He is much more than that and he is playing well
lol it's not that deep man. I doubt that he was on the sideline waiting for the chance to ask to be voted in to the pro-bowl. Seemed more like something that just happened in the heat of the moment. He's young and excited. He's also having a break out year... give the kid a break sheesh
LMAO. Yeah because that is SOOOOO terrible. Forget that he's getting close to breaking Decker's TD streak or that he's been the one good weapon they have had this year. People need to calm down. People do crazy choreographed end zone celebrations and all this guy does is say "vote for me for the pro bowl" and people flip out. Super anal. Every player thinks about making the pro bowl. LOL!
Very surprised at how productive he has been. We rarely get these surprises on offense Not surprised by the pro bowl thing, chad Johnson has been mentoring him. We’re lucky he didn’t have a gold jacket waiting to be put on. And ftr, could careless what he does after scoring as long as it is not vulgar.
I still think Robby has a lot more to work on when it comes to route running, but he has proven he can go up in coverage and snag down almost any jump ball and that's something we honestly haven't, despite Marshall in 2015, since Keyshawn. Now, he's nowhere near Keyshawn and likely never will be, but he's a good player and a starting WR in this league. Pro Bowl caliber or #1? IDK. Time will tell. Not this year I'd say, but maybe. He has impressed me by gaining some strength this season. Now he just needs to be able to do something outside of a 9 route, slant, or 3-5 yard curl. Then again, the way he's been playing the past 6 weeks, maybe not.
I just want to see him on the field alongside Enunwa with a gamer QB at the helm...... If they keep Kearse (which they should if they can), and Stewart turns into something, that's a pretty solid WR corp
He's still got a ways to go. He'd have to continue this streak through week 17 IMO. Right now the top WR in the league has 9 TDs and he's got 7 (tied for 5th), but he's ranked 14th in yards. It's doable.
He's got better hands than I expected, which helps make up for his lack of size. The best part about him is that Robby has evened-out the dreadful 2nd round pick wasted on Devin Smith. He's actually been the player Devin was supposed to be for us. Burner, deep threat. Almost an exact replacement. That helps McCagnan's record a lot.
Agree with previous posters: this is already a decent group of receivers with reason to think it can be better next year. Has anyone seen any news on Enunwa's injury rehab? If he comes back healthy, he forms quite a group with Anderson and Kearse. Plus, I still have plenty of optimism about Stewart, Hansen, and even Leggett. Not to mention ASJ has proven his off-season hype to be justifiable (how often does that happen??) and Tomlinson seems to be a good fit as the #2 TE. Nice job, Mac.
Mac certainly lucked out on Robby, but then again we have been unlucky on offense for too long. Part of that was that Robby was givenextensive playing time in the preseason to showcase himself and of course this year getting rid of Marshall and Decker looks like sheer brilliance on Macs part. Putting aside our feelings at QB right now, I really hope we let the young guys play out the rest of the season if we lose the next game. I think it’s important that Stewart and Hansen get more snaps and they play McGuire a lot more. We need to close out this season with a good understanding of what talent we have going into the offseason.
