If the Dodgers do get in--a big if--you're probably looking at Brad Penny, Derek Lowe and Greg Maddux in a series. Not necessarily in that order. Too bad we don't have Eric Gagne, it'd be lights out, baby!
Just like the Mets did in 2005..err I mean 2004..ummm wait 2003...scratch that 2002...wait I got it 2001....shit...nevermind.:breakdance:
He's also a classic big game pitcher. Remember Game 7 of the ALCS in 2004? He's made a career of coming up big when it matters most.
Hey, it doesn't bother me that much. I've always had like one team that I had followed to watch in the playoffs :breakdance:
I believe Lowe was the starting pitcher in all three clinching games for Boston in the 2004 post season.
Touche. Oddly, we only have a couple guys left from our 2004 NL West winning team. If we meet the Yankees we can just activate Fernando, he's doing the Spanish radio right now. It'll be 1981 all over again.
 Try winning pitcher, Lowe did not start game 3 vs. the Angels. He pitched the top of the 10th before Ortiz hit the GW HR in the bottom of the inning.
It feels like it's going to be Yankees-Mets... which probably means it'll be something like A's-Reds.
Living in Vegas I see alot of the Dodgers and I love the depth they have, that's why I picked them out of the NL. Right now they are a better team than the Mets although the Mets certainly looked strong in whooping the Cards. The pitching is pretty good and those 3 guys pitching have all proved they can win in the postseason, but then look at the pen and guys like Billngsly and Sele coming out along with Broxton and Biemel with Saito closing and this team is very good. I really hope they bring Hung-Chih Khuo up as he has given up 1 run in his last 23 innings and he is a starter with the 51s.
Their starters are better, if Penny can pitch in the pressure of the postseason, however the Mets lineup and bullpen are vastly superior to the Dodgers Our bullpen is a full run less than the dodgers when it comes to ERA
