Adam Schefter catching a lot of heat. He should. https://heavy.com/sports/pittsburgh-steelers/adam-schefter-dwayne-haskins-death-tweet/
That was mild, Gil Brandt might get kicked out of the HOF for this “He was a guy that was living to be dead.” “It was always something [with Haskins].” “Maybe if he stayed in school a year he wouldn’t do silly things [like] jogging on a highway.” https://www.outkick.com/cowboys-hof...-disgusting-comments-on-dwayne-haskins-death/
Brandt is literally 90 years old though. He's an old man losing his mind and shouldn't be on media platforms anymore. 5 years ago they shoulda pushed the old man retire to avoid him saying something stupid like that.
I was tuned in when he said that shit... couldn't believe my ears. My first thought was that he was drunk. Gil Brandt always says stupid stuff... he's too old to be on live radio.
I do have a question though.. WHY was DH jogging or walking on a Interstate Hwy? Just doesn't seem like a logical option for jogging or even just walking..
I don't think there was a job waiting for him at Space-X if football didnt pan out.............. still a terrible situation
https://dailycaller.com/2022/04/13/report-dwayne-haskins-intoxicated-woman-in-vehicle-before-death/ He was with an intoxicated woman early in the morning? Situation looks odd overall. If it was suicide, then very sad.
A lot of this story isn't tracking and I doubt if we'll ever know why he was walking along an interstate early in the morning.
I'm not feeling suicide. He didn't have any kids, but he had a wife and he only got married last year. I'm thinking that it was just a terribly ill-fated decision. I think I mentioned that there were reports that he ran out of gas. Like I said previously, I don't know why he didn't just call someone or even utilize the NFL driver service. You don't have to be impaired to use it. You can use it for any reason or without giving any reason at all. The investigation could take up to 90 days so it may be a while before any more information is released.
Yeah we will see. They haven't said if he was intoxicated or not yet but if he was intoxicated it makes more sense. The women was intoxicated and passed out in his car. He probably ran out of gas, and panicked because he was drunk so he was probably worried that if he remained in his vehicle and the police came by that he would be arrested, even if he was just waiting for someone to drop gas off or tow his car. He probably then made the decision to get to the nearest gas station which involved crossing a highway. If he was intoxicated, it makes the poor decision easier to make. Kind of hard to miss a dump truck too...this all happened early in the morning too, he might have been partying from the night before.
Without even knowing about a drunk woman reportedly passed out in his car it did cross my mind that he was possibly impaired. If you think about it, he could have even called the police himself, AAA, etc. there were many different options here other than walking across a dangerous highway. The whole thing is strange.
Looks like he ran out of gas and was walking down the highway to find some https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...th-said-he-was-walking-on-highway-to-get-gas/
Yeah, that's been mentioned before. Still weird. Kinda creepy in a when your number is up its up, when you're number ain't iup it ain't up kind of way.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...gally-drunk-death-according-toxicology-report Looks like Haskins was pretty hammered.
As a lover of both Ketamine and alcohol, I can say wholeheartedly they shouldn’t be mixed. Walking around the block on K is an adventure, walking along the highway in a K would expectedly have a low survival rate.
