Even 45 minutes or so after the game, I was sitting at the table eating, and every few minutes I'd just start to giggle as I thought about the win, and the fact that they are moving on to Pittsburgh next week. I am so happy that the Jets beat the Pats today. Tomorrow will be a good day at work.
Rich Eisen has spoken about being a Jets fan multiple times on NFLN. Stop confusing your anti-Jets media hate, just focus it on Jim Nantz and Mike Tirico. And don't waste it on Francessar either, he's a schtick with arms and legs.
I actually think to some extent he's the problem, as stupid as that sounds. I think its not enough for him to win anymore, he has to look like the smartest guy on the planet while doing so. How can you take Welker off the field, even if for only one drive for that nonsense? And the fake punt. and the 8 minute ground and pound drive in the fourth quarter down by two scores. It seems like an awful lot of arrogance and/or hubris.
I believe that the fake punt was Chung's own call - I read somewhere that he has the authority to make the call on the field if he sees a protection scheme that he thinks he can make the distance against - you could say its down to Belli for giving him that authority in the first place but really it was a bad play by Chung - not even necessarily a bad call it was just poorly executed.
Its his job to be too dumb to realize that the Jets are a damned good football team who were going to win the game????
