Did the Post really write a paragraph like that? I can't even read it. It gives me a headache half way through.
Rex stated in his postgame press conference that he left the 1st teamers out there and they would play a little more than a quarter on Saturday because of the short rest periods between games. He repeatedy protects veterans by letting them take a practice off now and then. The Jets practiced without pads late last week. Jason Taylor's comments alone should be proof enough since he's been around several coaches and teams. Sure sounds like he's killing them.
Compare how the Jets used to start the season after Club Ed vs. how they started the year under Parcells or Ryan. I'll take my chances with a tough camp, thanks.
... in addition to the general tone of the article being asinine ... this part jumped out at me as 100% wrong ... ... a tough camp has the players more ready to start the season than an easy camp ... exactly what should be done for a tough start out of the gate ... ... the potential drawbacks would be wearing down at the end of year & playoffs ... ... that whole article was just idiotic ... l_j_r
Yes. But that has nothing to do with this thread. I just copied/pasted what was written in the NY Post.
So now Florio is on the same rant..surprised? http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/22825103/vp/38755473#38755473
The Jets have almost no injuries. Look at teams like the Giants, Fins and Pats with a pretty decent sized injury list. Maybe these clowns should go take a look at their training camps instead.
