Then explain to me the point of him twatting about this special announcement and all the talk/hype about his talk with Rex. There is no way in my mind that Kerry will come on air and say 'I'm going to be a Jet guys, sorry for riling you up!!' Although Kerry has surprised me at times, the guy acts like a high school girl on her period
I doubt that we will. It's not often that a player with 3 years left on a pretty big contract goes on TV to demand a trade away from a successful program. Even Anquan Boldin keeps things relatively low key, and he's been trying to get out of Arizona for years now. Even if he comes on and gives the big announcement that he's on board and ready to roll, it doesn't mean all that much. Rhodes accepting being a Jet doesn't necessarily mean that Ryan et al necessarily feel like putting up with him next season, and they're the ones who get to make meaningful decisions about where Rhodes plays.
B/C once the media started reporting on the statement Rex made and about the meeting the two had, people were hounding him on twitter asking him about the meeting and if he was going to stay or go etc So he just addressed them all by saying I'll address it on my weekly show and answer everyone at the same time. Geesh, sometimes you just can't win. SMDH

This makes a lot of sense to me, but... Anquan Boldin =/= Kerry Rhodes. Boldin had his jaw pulverized by Smith and was back on the field a few weeks later. Rhodes got his money and played like a panzy for 3 years. Boldin isn't the diva Rhodes is/has been recently. I could see Kerry wanting to go into the limelight and saying 'etc etc I'm done with the Jets etc etc'. I could be wrong but at this point no one can predict the future so lets leave out the silly: 'SMH' Wtf does that mean anyway, I think it's 'shaking my head?'
Plus it was a second team All-pro team... and only AP selected him... let's put things into perspective
there talking right now about trading rhodes for osi umenyora (i have no idea how to spell his name).
They're just asking two "experts" if they would take that trade if they were the Giants. Both said no.

Saying that Rex told him he wants him to be a Jet, but that the decision is up to Rhodes. If he wants to be traded he can request it. Kerry said that right now he wants to be in NY but has to reevaluate himself and make up a final decision.
He announced that the team wants him here? That's the big announcement? Can we change the Attention Whore Awards to the "Kerry Rhodes" Attention Whore Award?
