As I once heard an exasperated WFAN caller ask about Herm ... "Its a CLOCK! ... What doesn't he understand about it???"
I was at the game and started swearing when he called the time out. I said "how can he ne this bad at clock managementevery week". The bears fan next to me said "why the F did they just call a time out?" 2 possible thoughts: 1. Maybe he thought he called the timout a couple of seconds earlier, in which case they might not have been able to run the clock down to 2 after the play, giving the jets a full 2 minutes. It was really close, only about 3 seonds. 2. Even more unlikely, he saw something on the field he didn't like and was worried we wouldn't get the stop and the game would be over. I didn't notice a personell change, but it could have been there.
