That was just about everything I wanted to hear from Rex. That was perfect! My excitement level over next season just went up significantly. Oh...and fuck the Pats!
he had too. The jets hate him and he knows if he would have acted like a dick he probably wouldn't get another interview
I thought Rex handled everything very well. I genuinely believe that he has thought about what needs to change and is willing to do what it takes to make this team great.
Someone needs to bore out Francesa's nostrils. The sound of that guy trying to get air into his lungs is grotesque.
I think people forget Rex hasn't been a head coach that long, there's a learning curve there, too. His record is good and he's only going to get better with time and experience. Sometimes you learn more about yourself and your team by not having the success you wanted.
I think he should say the truth... EVERY single aspect of the offense declined and needs to pick it up... STUPID PENALTIES - Missed Blocks - Drops - Mis-reads. Clock Mgt, Game plans.. Everything.. More and more I'm happy with the simple Sparano plan for this team.. Rex still has some work on that Defense
didn't listen (self banning myself from all sports talk radio and TV) but it sounds like Rex had a big between the presser for season ticket holders and his handling of the fat, dumb pile of manure
That went surprisingly well... Glad Rex didnt ruin his career there. He seemed to realize what he did wrong this season and I hope he follows through on his word this time.
Great interview! Made me feel much better about the team going into next year. The talking smack from an offensive v defensive perspective was very telling. Also like that Rex is going to be more involved in the meeting room for two reasons. One being h=that he has a great football mind and I think he will have a big impact in there. The second reason being that it will help him keep the "pulse" of the team. I agree with Mike as well. Jets need to get a QB coach that can work on securing the ball, footwork, and vision with Sanchez. And like Mike said his first two years Sanchez threw a good deep ball. This idea that he can't throw the ball deep is just not true.
I read a tweet that said Rex said the terminology of Schotty's offense was "a bit too much" for him to learn and that Sparano's is much easier. Hmmmm if it's too complex for Rex, imagine how difficult it must have been for a young QB with little college experience?
