He seems to really to get that his guarantees put unneeded pressure on the offense. Seems like he didn't understand that offensive and defensive players have different mentalities. I'm so glad he seems to get it now and is willing to change.
Not sure what you all are listening, what I am hearing here is that Rex is going to be more subdued. He may have been chewed out by ownership over the issues and his defensive mentality on the whole team can not work anymore. Rex stressed that the offense had issues, but what about the fucking defense being unable to get off the field on 3rd downs or giving up big plays. Rex needs to get defense sorted out better too with discipline and poise
He does make a good point though. "We went to the title game two straight years what else is there to chase for? I wanted to put the bullseye on my back and that clearly didnt happen."
True, but the offense has a new staff and needs more help than the defense. So it's a more pressing issue.
Yeah. I expected the politician answer. "It will be a tough game. I respect both teams. Blah, blah, blah." I certainly didn't expect him to answer without hesitation. I'm glad he did.
