Yeah, they played conservatively out of respect for the Ravens defense. They shouldnt have though, the Ravens defense was not the 85 Bears, the Jets were moving on them. Stupid turnover by Greene turned the gaming into potentially 9-0 at half, to Jets down 6-7 which required multiple penalties for the Ravens to even score that TD.
the "77-92%" is a joke that said its also true that the QB is by a country mile the most important position on the field - how else do you explain that aside from the bizarre NFC South every division was won by the team with the best QB? if I can be bothered I will link you to my thread on this topic edit - here you go - http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/its-all-about-the-qb.82673/ In short: There are 15 teams with winning records this decade, and all but one of those franchises (Baltimore) has had a top 10 passer during that decade. And say what you want about Joe Flacco, but he's won a Super Bowl, and has been to the playoffs five of his six seasons with the Ravens. It is very, very difficult to do anything as a team (on a consistent basis) without having a top tier QB. Look I have no issue with the Bills - I like them and feel bad for their fans as I cannot imagine getting to so many superbowls and losing them all - it must have been gutting - but the fact is neither you nor we are ever going to win the Superbowl (or even the division) unless we sort the QB position out.
I get that. I understand the importance of a QB. The fact that the Falcons have a QB, but finished 6-10 says they have A LOT more work to fix that team than the Bills do. Hell, I was impressed with the Jets D and you guys were taking out ads on craigslist for CB's this past season. Even as frustrating a season for Jets fans this past season, the Falcons were closer to the Jets record than they were to the Bills. Atlanta is not as easy a fix as many fans and analysts believe.
I agree but Atlanta's main problems were mainly with the defense which Rex can fix, the Bills and the Jets problems are with the offense and in particular the QB position and pretty much no coach can fix that issue (and we have seen for certain that RR cannot). Anyway, good luck to you guys
