He's damned if he does damned if he doesn't though. To a degree I agree with you, but unfortunately there were times when he needed to shut the F up and get back to being a football coach. My ideal scenario would be him dropping the odd sound bite here and there, but with concentrating on what he does best, being a D coach and THEN overseeing the HC stuff. Hopefully 'Wig can get our O going and Rex not have to constantly keep looking over his shoulder like he did with Schottie and Sparano.
Anyone that has a problem with this needs to get a reality check. The Orioles play a a ton of home games. -How about setting up a double header instead? -How about just moving your game to noon? -How about a little camaraderie for the hometown championship team? It's not like this is a common occurrence and the dickhead Ravens are trying to screw with the Orioles' schedule again. The answer to OP's question, he's still here because he's the head coach of this football team. Simple as that. Clowns disrespecting and harking for the departure of the coach with the most playoff wins in franchise history while he's still the coach here, get out of here with that crap.
Rex is such a blowhard. It was good to see Buck Showalter shut him up. Ryan will seriously never learn how to walk softly and carry a big stick.
Buck should focus more on his team and shut up. Baltimore has been the Yankees bitch forever. Rex was dead nuts right about how stupid tham move was. Good for him
Does Rex coach the Ravens? No. Did Buck initiate it by saying something about the Jets? No. Rex was totally out of line and Showalter was dead right to respond and tell Rex to stick to his own team and own city. Yeah good for Rex for being such a blowhard buffoon. What the fuck does Baltimore being the Yankees bitch have to do with Rex opening his big mouth? Absolutely nothing!
Rex lives in America where he has free speech. He's obviously a huge football fan and was giving his opinion.
Doesn't make him any less of a blowhard or buffoon. Maybe he should be less of a fan of other teams and focus on trying to improve his own squad.
It is not his job to get into the Ravens-Orioles business. But at the same time he is entitled to his opinion. If you are gonna attack him just because he expressed his opinion please stop and use some other valid stuff to do so.
He makes a comment that lasts 10 seconds and you conclude he's not focused on his team? Talk about being a buffoon...
You're defending his actions is the biggest buffoonery of all. Take your head out of his ass long enough to realize he's a blowhard. There's a reason why he's the only one to make comments like this and it's not because freedom of speech
You are right ~! completely - rex hasnt been really good for some years now. and you cant always blame it on the players. the coach is the most importent job on the team. if the team dosent do so good then the coach needs to be responsible.
Oh nooo, Rex made a comment when asked about a situation, he's such a buffoon and blowhard. How dare he speak. HOW DARE HE!
Pepper: Mark Sanchez, Chaz Schilens, Clyde Gates, Shonn Greene, Matt Slauson, Marty Gilyard. And u think RR is the problem?
Im so over the RR threads. Who cares what he says or doesnt say? Hes a dead man walking. Hes gone this after this year anyway. We're gonna suck this year but hopefully start to rebuild. RR is completely irrelevant at this point.
Buck's still buckhurt over the Yanks not rehiring him after he totally mismanaged the end of game 5 in the '95 Divisional Series vs. Seattle. And he's a blowhart as well, and one who should stick to his own team: "Buck Showalter Rips Yankees' Jeter in Men's Journal Interview" http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/03/24/showalter-rips-yankees-jeter-in-mens-journal-interview/
