As it has always been when we we able to beat the Pats over the Brady era, the key is hitting that SOB over and over and over. We all know his highness does not like being touched, so if we can find ways to get to him, then the Jets have a shot to beat the Pats.

Problem is we have not been consistent in getting to the passer without having to blitz, I would have love to pick up a player like C. Wake from Mia , who can really bring it. When the Jets do have a player like that with the rest of this defense the Pats days of being the class of the AFC East will be over.......

branch did absolutely nothing in seattle, but know that he has brady throwing the rock to him, he's back to being a pesky reciever that makes big plays. so brady is that good, no doubt about it.

i preferred a patriots team that had moss, because without him they are now back to what makes brady so good, spreading the ball around all over the place. in the first half of this years match, thats what they did and out played us in the first half.

the second half brady changed and started going to moss too much and the game changed for the worst for them.

i see brady doing what they've been doing the past 5 or 6 weeks and giving us nothing but fits trying to stop them.

this thing about sanchez having a hisory of playing biig in big games is somewhat laughable outside of the past few games. a few games does not make much of a history. looking forward to a good game and we'll see how good we are on the back stretch of the schedule and hopefully the playoffs.

hummm, do you realize how many and how high their draft sellections are going to be this year. they just may end up being the class of the afc for a while longer! hell with the panthers playing the way they are, the pats practically have 3 first rd draft pics. (2 1st, 2 2nd and 2 3rd) they own the draft and can do a lot of damage with that many high sellections.

Don't mean shit if the guy handling the ball, ie Brady, is laying on his back 10 to 15 times a game. An remember, just because they were great in college doesn't mean they all will make the transistion to the pro's, see Golston as a classic example, of this. Another issue with all the draft picks is they have to be paid, and in order to do this tough decisions will have to be made..

Yet, I do see your point of having the high draft pick MIGHT be factored in. Yet, I would also remind you that the Jets in the Tanny era have a knack of finding real gems in the lower rounds

"It's the marquee game of the year," Ryan said this morning.

I wish he'd just stop talking already. It's time to either go into Foxboro and kick their ass or just stop talking about it. One or the other. If we kick their ass, I'll be okay with the SuperBowl talk again. If not, let's STFU until we can.

Talking is part of what makes him a good coach.

Brady better utilize his TEs and RBs in the passing game because everything else is going to get shut down.

I agree with you but I don't think we as Jet fans are in position to tell the Patriots how to win superbowls

Talking is a requirement of the job. All NFL head coaches are required to hold press conferences.

Rex just happens to not be a complete asshole and is a bit entertaining. The press eats it up and fogies hate it.

If we want to win the rematch this year we are going to have to get to Brady. Getting to the QB isn't something that I see us doing nearly enough. The use of the TE sets the way the Pats have gone to since losing Moss is a big issue for us. The Ravens exploited the hell out of it against us in our loss to them. I think this is going to be an Achilles heel for this defense. Getting to the QB early and often will help.

On the other side of the ball I am a bit scared of which offense will show up to play. If the confident, make plays offense shows up I think we will be ok. If the one that drops balls, misses cues, and fails to execute does - it could be a long 60 minute game.

We can beat these guys if we don't beat ourselves. I've seen a few teams this year manage a good lead on the Pats only to blow it down the stretch. This is the kinda team that should scare us because as of late we haven't been able to put away teams that we have been beating. Granted, we won the game, but this last minute, pull it out your ass heroics isn't the right way to square off against a team that is mentally as tough as the Pats.

Brady will use the tight ends, Gronkowski and Hernandez. They're two of the most talented two young TE's in football.

Sanchez had one of his worst games last year in Foxboro dont forget that. That game was huge for our season and he didnt show up at all.

If we just force Brady out of the pocket and make him make bad throws then we will beat him

LOL at that last line by Rex about the Lions' corner. Only Rex says stuff like that. I hope he gets this team read to play defense Monday night, and down the stretch. That second half against Cincinnati is what I hope is in store for us the rest of the way. DOMINANT defense, and big plays in the running game (well, Brad anyway in that game). Now that we all know Sanchez can play at a high level somewhat consistently, it was the defense I was worried about for the past few weeks. Hopefully, it's fixed now.

    He was a rookie.

Does he look like the same QB this year?

What was a bigger game? All of January or a game in fucking foxboro?

This more likely than not will be a higher scoring game than some of the recent matchups with them, for both teams. The Jets have not only been having difficulty rushing the passer, but the middle of the field has been vulnerable in defending the pass. Brady can attack the middle, and do so with consistency.

On the other hand I don't think they have that solid a D, and most likely will have no answer for covering Edwards and Holmes.

The key will likely be avoiding turnovers, which means no fumbles in the running game, and Sanchez has to play mistake free.

This early in the week I don't feel comfortable making a prediction.

I would have to agree... we have to show up and play mistake free ball. It could come down to turnovers, or who has possession of the ball last. We have been fortunate to have one unit of the team show up from game to game, or half to half... we will need all 3 units showing up for 60 minutes this week.
