I find it funny that Rex is willing to say nobody is willing to pay A.D. for a whole season. Obviously we're not, but even still way to rub it in.
Ok, I didn't even think of the long snapper. Makes sense. In theory, 3 TEs in that scenario. I don't see Purdum getting alot of offensive snaps.
Well, if the coaching staff isn't high on him...they'll probably bring back James Dearth, who will also be listed as a tight end.
Apparently he signed with Washington on August 14th. I never saw that. Looks like Tanner Purdum's our long snapper.
Folk has looked fine. Purdum hasn't fucked anything up yet. Why hate on people who haven't embarrassed themselves yet?... Minus the XP
Not hate, just not sold on either of them. Once they perform consistently, then they will duly earn respect. But I feel one/both are ticking time bombs.
Nick Folk has been pretty damn consistent since he's been here. If you look at his first two seasons in Dallas, you can't argue that he's got the ability to be a top tier kicker. I can see where some posters are a little skeptical about Folk, but I don't understand the Tanner Purdum hate.
PURDUM IS NOT A TE, he was once a QB but never ever a TE... Dearth was a TE, but not all LS are. We only have 4 TEs on the roster and Cumberland is one of them.... that's why we're assuming he makes the team. PS Mulligan practiced as an emergency LS so maybe that's why many of you are getting confused...
Purdum has made the team, by default? Maybe. But at first he was horrible. So full credit to him for learning and getting better. LS & K are 2 positions that require confidence and I think its fair to say, that they both now have it. Why did Folk fall to pieces in Dallas anyway?
