I don't for certain, but I don't recall hearing that the Ryan household was broken into and private home videos were stolen. So I'm guessing that she posted them. Or maybe it was one of the kids in the house right?
It's possible that they were just sitting on a family computer and someone installed some file sharing (music search) software that found all media on the computer and made it available to download. Seems like a silly thing to have sitting around, but not out of the question.
i think everyone is seriously missing how much this might actually be turning rex on i know i know, creepy thought, but it seems exhibitionism is up there on his list of fetishes, and well, this is pretty damn public at this point haha
Yeah I know any scenario is possible, but I just find it highly unlikely. And if that was the case they should've reported it and tried to track who was posting them through the IP address, but they didn't.
Why would someone get in trouble for posting something they downloaded off whatever file sharing software they used? Has youtube even taken the video down?
You do realize that you can upload videos privately on youtube right? Someone could have easily ripped the video from youtube and sent it to deadspin, if they realized who it was.
IIRC, the youtube account that the videos were originally posted under were deleted. These were saved and uploaded by someone else.
To add: Youtube deleted the videos that we saw, they've been uploaded by someone else to a different site. This isn't the Ryan's leaving these videos up there by themselves. This is malicious. So here's my assumption (because that's all thats going on anyway) Rex and Michelle are obviously a bit exhibitionist (one could safely say that by the way Rex acts, and certainly Michelle doesn't have a problem with that), and they posted these videos likely while he was still in Baltimore (Bolded 'a few years back' Rex likely took this video around 2007-2008, strictly an educated guess from the timeline). Their youtube account became a huge hit, and Youtube banned them for whatever reason. (I still don't rule out someone in baltimore maliciously posting this as 'ihaveprettyfeet', remember, this is around the time rex was trying to get the baltimore hc job, but it seems a little less likely) People SAVED the videos, and re-uploaded them. These people weren't removed because they didn't garner a big enough following that youtube would take notice and remove them. Rex didn't upload these. These were uploaded by other people (who have likely been banned from youtube now). If you looked at the video name, it was something along the lines of Sexy Feet.avi. That to me, as someone who has ripped videos from youtube before, is exactly how the file would come out if someone saved the video directly from youtube. So this person downloaded the video using a program, and just reuploaded it without changing the title. Someone who is a deadspin reader obviously took note of who Michelle was, and then sent a tip in to deadspin. Again, that's all assumption and speculation, but I do not for a second believe that Rex himself posted these recently. I watched the videos, and while I don't remember the exact date listed, it was definitely within 2010. (they've been reposted again somewhere so Deadspin could link them after they were deleted)
If you look in the comments of the video with the Rex voice that deadspin provided a link to, three weeks ago someone commented "That is Rex Ryan coach of the Jets' wife."
No the regular police would be sufficient Einstein. You can issue subpoenas for things like this to get the IP address, you can trust me on that one.
And furthermore, even if you didn't want to go to law enforcement, you get get your own personal attorney to do it and move on a civil action.
Who says he isn't? The first platform that the videos were found on is GONE. They reuploaded them as flash videos on the deadspin site. Rex may not have known that this happened, because the youtube account they were using for this was banned TWO YEARS AGO.
Highly doubtful. Also, the deadspin article pretty much says that the videos were uploaded by some of her followers
