Funny how he didn't land anywhere else. Gee, wonder why. So it is off to the hapless Bills. Like being sentenced to Siberia.

Opinion: We got to be his starter team, which he managed in some part to lead us in a downward spiral in many, many ways already hammered upon in the forum. I don't want to hear about the 2 AFC Championship games. That card got played way too many times! One playoff appearance in his first year, we took the back door, thanks to Indy laying down in the regular season and then spanking us when it was a real game. The other was a give away to Pittsburgh; I really felt we got outcoached there and not prepared properly. Then= 4 years with little to nothing, but this constant battle cry that his players love him, they never quit, he has the locker room, he is a nice guy, he was entertaining and funny, a defensive genius (why we lost so many games), blah, blah, blah...........

Now, I wish we would all just move on and forget about this man. Really, it is time to stop with this guy.

Revis is a money-hungry merc who wanted to go where he'd get paid. Rex wanted to be here and was fired. HUGE difference.

Although in that vein Rex did have 27 million reasons to go to Buffalo. They gave him an insane contract. Can't really blame him for that when he may or may not have even had a job offer anywhere else.

and, of course, no one here could ever accuse Rex of being self-serving.

This isn't Jets related!! WAH WAH WAH

Stop your bitching people. He was our coach for 6 fucking years. Now he is our rival coach, which is still very close to being Jets related. Just deal with it, instead of fucking thread policing. That's what the MODS are for.

    Idiots.

My question to Rex. Pegula said your interview is what convinced them to hire you. And going into the interview you weren't at the top of their list. What did you say when they asked you how come your team was demolished two times by their team. And how the fuck did you talk your way out of that one.

Two pro Rex takes that do not mesh. Rex says Woody never wanted to fire him. People say Geno and other "who gets to play" decisions were forced on him by Idzik (Geno) and Tannenbaum (Stephen Hill). If Woody was such a strong Rex backer that would give Rex all the leverage he needed to play whomever HE wanted. What's the GM going to do, force Woody to do something he had no intention of doing and fire Rex? Rex could have easily said to the GM "Go stuff it, I'm playing XXXX".

It's also interesting none of the leaks ever say what Rex's preferences were to play instead of the guy forced on him. That is where the self serving, self interest part comes in. Also, in their introductory press conference it was stated outright that moving forward Maccagnan picks the players and Bowles chooses who gets to play.

It's highly debatable on whether Idzik forced Rex to start Geno. Rex did bench Geno several times so it wasn't like he was being forced to play a bad Qb. Rex has a track record of sticking with the same Qb ie. Mark Sanchez. Also Idzik (despite criticism) cut players he drafted including Saunders. He must have based a lot of that on what the coaching staff told him. IMO Idzik tried to work with Rex and wasn't this idiotic dictator. The entire two drafts of Idzik were D orientated and Rex and the coaching staff seemed to have a lot of input in the selections.
