That comment is Rex being Rex, but the Jets did play very physical last season. I'd even venture out to say they were one of the most physical teams in the league. Win or lose, I'd think it would be different playing a physical football team vs. a quick/finesse team. At the end of the day though, it's about winning football games.

There was no blind support for Sanchez in Dec of 2012, only hope that Rex benching him would turn him around. I don't remember calling him good anywhere. I always thought he was mediocre at best. I've said he had the potential to be, I've had hopes that he'd develop better over the years. HOWEVER, Sanchez was way better than Tebow or McElroy, who were the only other options. Giving the Jets the best chance of winning, doesn't equate to "he's really good". He was just the best option at the time. If he started in 2013, Geno probably takes his jerb halfway through the season.
