that would be great news, in NFC so we won't see him for a while and he has a talented, underachieving roster sort of like what he inherited here though the talent there now is more on O than D.

I think they win a Super Bowl. I really do.

It could be like a Gruden type of situation where he comes in and inherits a decent roster and wins immediately. I don't think they win it all next season but its possible within the next couple of years. I wonder if Revis follows him down there.

I don't know what their cap situation is so don't know if they can afford Revis but they would have to be a favorite to land him.

Well if they can manage a top 10 defense, and a top 10 offense, that team will be dangerous.

Unfortunately he wouldn't be inheriting a team anywhere as good as the Tampa team Gruden inherited.
Very little defensive talent, and an O-line that's a fucking sieve.

He will have a decent QB and an all-pro WR. That offense was not that great this year, especially when Jones was hurt.

He'll have to rebuild the D and O-line

Yeah, a lot of people keep talking about that as a quick turnaround because of Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, but in reality the Jets probably as a whole have more talent position by position on the roster than the Falcons.

If the Falcons grab Rex --- it is a Woody scenario in Atlanta, Arthur Blank loves Rex, GM may be on the way out if they go with Rex.

Well if Rex becomes the Falcons head coach, they will be my NFC team. Godspeed Rex. You deserve good things.

Rex is the perfect hire for the Falcons. They'll be back in SB contention in a couple years. Especially with how atrocious that conference looks. Rex vs Rob twice a year will be great TV as well.

By going to Atlanta Rex would immediately have the best WR and QB he's ever had as head coach. Shape up the defense a bit and you have a playoff contender without adding much.

Add in some OL pieces from the GM and establish a bit more of a run game and you have a dangerous team. The QB and offense is what he could never figure out, give him that and you can really showcase his strengths.

Forcing the HC on his GM, at least mike smith was 20 games over .500, if anyone should have gotten fired for his poor drafting it's the GM, that FO drafted poorly on defense.

dude your hatred of Rex is making you look like a moron.
just say you don't like the guys personality or his style as a coach, as that is just what it comes down to for you.
but when you try to talk football reasons, it's almost embarrassing to read.

He's just not a good coach. Even an idiot could see that.
