Rex is certainly a weird bird. Maybe it's nothing but given everything else it does create some wonder why Rex was so pro-Sanchez. At least a little. America has come a long way though. What cowboyfan is getting at is that he thinks THIS tatoo think is a clue as to why Rex refused to give Tebow any starts. From reading his posts over the last month, it is clear he is thinking that there was a bias in favor of Sanchez there and Tebow not getting more playing time had to do more with that than it does with Tebow and his playing abilities themselves. I would have to agree that it would be pathetic on Rex's part... IF that were the case. Personally, I think McElroy and Tebow simply haven't shown enough to warrant such a switch during the season and THAT is why Sanchez really wasn't benched. Just because he was having a lousy year, doesn't mean the coach believes his backups would do better.

I'm sure the rest of the team is confident that Sanchez is held to the same standards and the same expectations as everyone else. That's what angers me the most about the NYDN. They sent someone down there to invade the guy's privacy, snap some photos, and invent a headline. There was an ethically questionable plan in place here.. If it wasn't the tat, it would have been 'Rex lounging it up while real work to be done', or some shirtless photo cracking on his weight. Then they put it on front and back page, with balloon captions and all, while only a small blurb appears about 3 shot cops. It's really an insult to intelligence, and very telling about the newspaper sales business in general.
