Please explain to me how signing a quality player who is a pain in the ass to a one year deal means I am a homer. Richie has been a pain in the ass, no doubt about it. He just sat out an entire year. You really think that this guy doesn't know that if he messes up again he'll be cleaning up aisle 5 for the rest of his life? They signed him to a 1 year, $2m deal. Its not a lot of money. Its not a lot of years. One of this guy's best friends is Eric Wood, who is also a captain of the team, a veteran leader, and plays right next to him. He will be around Richie all the time, in the lockerroom, in meetings, and probably off the field. Wood and the other Bills veterans will be all over this guy. Richie has 1 more shot in this league. He met with the Pegulas at their house in Florida before the Bills signed him. Do you really think this guy isn't aware of this? This is a low risk, high reward move. We have nothing invested in this guy. Nothing. If he comes in and starts acting like a jackass, he will be cut. He was always a very good player, football wise.
Nah but he did play half a season there another time a team got sick of his asshole bullshit. The Rams cut him midseason and the bills grabbed him off waivers.
Ahh ok.. Honestly I would have taken a chance on him with the shit fest we have going on at Guard. Have faith that Mangold/Wilkerson/Richardson would keep him in check.
You're actually over rating him. He's not that good. He'll get cut 'cause he can't play. He's a bully and a coward that resorted to cheap shots when he got beat cleanly. He also had a serious accusation against him from a woman. He's an asshole. Let's see what happens when Kyle Williams wipes the field up with him in camp...whether he starts his tantrums up again. He's not a tuff guy...he's a punk. Typical Rex, signing off on that, like he's gonna will the shit right...
I don't see this as a bad move by the Bills, they don't really have much invested in the guy and while I don't think he'll ever be a pro bowler or even an alternate if he is better than the guy they currently have at G why not sign him?
He's always graded out favorably in the run game. My guess is that a Rex Ryan coached football team can live with it if he's a slightly below average pass protector.
Colon is a high character guy, supportive of his teammates and coaches, and garners mutual respect for that. He is nothing like Incognito. If the Bills just needed G depth and a physical presence, they'd have been better off getting Colon actually. Incognito was a low risk financial move (i'm sure they can cut him easily), but not worth the potential negative presence on the team.
That's fine ... but then don't put the coach on notice that he's fired if the team doesn't make the playoffs. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
Poor Rex... I think he lives for this kind of shit though. He likes being relevant in the media. Maybe he likes reading criticism?
so you're saying Rex was the ONLY driving force behind signing Incognito, and Rex's motivation for that signing was simply to garner attention? the Rex posting always seems to reach new levels of stupidity.
you don't just play guys because they are younger. Colon was the best guard on our roster this season. there would be literally no point in making our Oline even worse, especially with Breno already playing terrible on the right side.
That's not what I've said. Reading comprehension is not a strong suit for you, I guess. Carry on. I'm so happy Rex and his drama are gone. Btw, Do you know what his new tattoo is yet?
LOL Rex is already sowing the seeds of his downfall. His crash and burn is going to be highly entertaining and very funny. I can't wait to see him self-destruct.
I have no problem with giving the guy a chance. But he's a fuckup. And his lifestyle has been a train wreck. He's been with Bills before. You can have him.
