Defense making plays, sacking the QB, making great pass breakups fires up a crowd....The Jets D didn't do much of that last night...

The game may have been close going into the 4th but except for a couple of series did the Jets really give the fans much to cheer about?

Fumbling punts, throwing INTs, getting sacked, committing penalties, getting picked apart by Brady..Was there much to cheer for?

Rex should worry about preparing his team for a game instead of worrying about his crowd.

If his team performs like a SB championship caliber type team the crowd will respond.

Since the new stadium and PSLs gutted the STHs, we've only had crowds that cheer when the Jets are winning. Otherwise they just sit on their hands. The Cowboys and Chargers games were perfect examples of it. Getting people to stand up and make noise is like pulling teeth until the Jets are ahead.

the crowd was loud during the drive the Pats decided to go no huddle. I think at that time we were down 1 TD but the game was clearly not going our way. Overall I wish they were louder but once Gronk caught that TD, I can understand why many were shut and never recovered (Sanchez pick 6).

It was like that in the old place too, sure PSLs and non-Jet fans in the Stadium hurt the noise but it's a simialr atmosphere to the old building where fans where for something good to happen before they make any noise.

I was at that Colt Playoff game and I was at that Packer game ending playoff/ division clincher ,,,AND I was at the new place the other nite----NOTHING COMPARES
to the Patriot game at the OLD PLACE on 9/ 20 / 09 !Easily and by far the LOUDEST Jet home game I ever attended and witnessed!

The Packer game was electric and LOUD but that Patriot game in 09 was unreal---it was not loud for a series here or there it was crazy all day . Every play that the Patriots ran on offense the noise was deafening.

I was at the Jaguar playoff game also----no comparison----as I said GBAY was an electric crowd----but 09 against the Pats was unreal and sadly with the design of this new place and the ( longtime / legacy )fans leaving in droves and METLIFE catering to business we probably won't ever see 9/ 20 /09 again ) :

The packer game at its height was louder than NE '09 but the crowd was loud all game long when NE had the ball in '09. The Packer game turned into a blowout early so it was more of a celebration throughout most of the 2nd half.

I've noticed one thing and it's really starting to bug the shit out of me....

I'm that guy that's yelling the second the opposing offense breaks the huddle and comes to the LoS. First down, third down, fourth down, don't matter, don't matter if we're winning or down 2 TDs. Point being, I've noticed people looking at me and getting annoyed that I'm doing this/trying to get other people to do it. Now that I'm in the 300s I thought it would be a given....I'm really shocked at how different the crowd has become, and I know it's always been this way to an extent, how belligerently drunk or actual indifference to the actual game some people can be/show.

It used to be a given to make noise on defense. But, between the airhorns (which I actually like), Fireman Ed pointing at his ear on the Jumbotron or some stupid graphic on the screen, people have to be told what to yell and when to yell it. Just stay the fuck home, because it's annoying to the people who don't need to be prompted to behave the way a home crowd should behave.
Oh, and the Jets....FIRST DOWN, is another gimmick I haven't liked, and I haven't yelled it once. It's not original and I feel like it was added when Favre joined because they did it Green Bay, and then they decided to keep it.

I've been to a couple of games in the new stadium where I look at fans of our team and I want to scream in their faces, "GO THE FUCK HOME." It's a joke. It's not gonna change. We had better crowds when we were a sad sack organization. It's like Badger and junc were kind of referring to, we have become a real front runner crowd. Dare I say, a certain level of entitlement has seeped into the stadium? I hope not, because, technically, we still haven't won shit, and even if we do, that shouldn't matter.

I hate to say it, but most of the posts on the last 2 pages are true.

JUNC----I remember watching and listening to the other games outside----I was on the escaltor going in when the Pat / Mia game was ending and we all lost our minds----------as soon as we reached our seats they showed the replay of the game ending FG on the big screen in the stadium----yes that was an electric day I will never forget! That said it still does not compare to 09----my buddies and I talk about that from time to time---I remember at times I could not talk or hear the people sitting next to me in 09---simply amazing!

That was probably my favorite home game in the hundreds I have been, what a great day.

'09 was the way every game(at least every big game) should be like. The crowd should be loud when the opposing O has the ball but we usually wait for 3rd or 4th and short to get loud.
