Well, the fans showed up. Even the club seats looked to be about 95% full last night and everywhere around me in the upper deck was packed. Compared to the Jags game that I was at earlier this season the noise level was about 3x louder. I just feel a little cheated. I went out and bought a ticket that I couldn't really afford because I wanted to do my part for the 12th man on the field and the Jets looked completely unprepared and discombobulated for most of the game. Maybe Rex should stop worrying about the fans showing up and get his fucking team to show up. I still can't believe they rolled over for the Pats in their own home. This is about as let down as I've ever felt after a Jets loss.
I thought it was a road game in Foxboro since it sure as hell looked like the Patriots were playing at home. Time to dump the all white unis and wear home colors for home games only.
Yes, I felt that way too, they weren't nearly as loud as I've heard before, and the game was close all the way into the fourth quarter. Fickle fans give up too quickly. Edit: They got real loud once, on the safety, you couldn't hear the ref calling the penalty. They should have been that loud on every Patriot possession.
The crowd was okay. At times, it was as loud as it should be. Other times, it lagged a bit, usually when NE was going no-huddle. The Folk missed FG deflated everything.
We were waiting for something to cheer for most of the game. Missing the opening field goal did noticeably take the energy out of the crowd.
If you weren't at the game, then don't complain about the fan noise since you clearly can't hear what it sounds like at the stadium watching from a TV. There was nothing to cheer about last night though. Once the Jets got a little bit of momentum, the Pats would get a sack, or Gronkowski would catch a TD.
Whatever. It's my money, I'll do what I want with it. If the Jets had at least shown up I wouldn't have felt shitty about it.
I don't know where other people were sitting and I don't get to go to many games so I don't have the same basis of comparison as some, but everyone around me was standing and making noise up until the point that it was obvious that the Jets were tanking. You can't expect people to be going crazy when there's nothing to cheer about.
Crowd kinda sucked. I tried but sometimes it feels like you're shouting into an empty abyss from the uppers. It's not like the team was giving the fans much reason to do it. Sound doesn't carry for shit and the stadium just absolutely can not hold noise. The best I've heard this season was in the closing minutes of the Cowboys game, when I snuck down to the 20 yd line 20 rows from the field. From up top it's just difficult to get the crowd going.. and I was tryin
I posted this on another thread but I think it belongs here First off the Stadium was no where near as loud as it should have been . Love him or hate him , they put Fireman Ed on the screen begging people to make noise and this in no way was anywhere near the TOP ten loudest games that I ever attended--crowd was ok but it is just a different crowd nowadays. There was a point when I swear the only people standing (in my section 146 ) and screaming for OUR DEF ( in the second qtr) was me and my kid . Now maybe someone can help me with this---I am at a loss for words---we were in row 33---and I am dead honest when I say 3 qtrs of my row was pats fans in JERSEYS rooting for Pats---it gets worse--->the ENTIRE ROW behind me row 34 was entirely Pats fans! Every single seat! It gets worse---row 32 in front of me was also 3 qtrs Pat fans! It was like being at an away game---my kid said " I felt like we were the enemy " unreal! Anyone who wants to tell me that this place is sold out---I guess they can explain the oceans of Pat fans at this game and in my section. ps the team laid an egg tonight and lost out on a big chance to make a statement and change the landscape but it was groundhog day again for us
I felt the same way. It was as loud as fans could possibly be in a game where the team just didn't show up. You can't judge sitting at home, so I discount most of the opinions here, but it was definitely the loudest loss I have been to.
The best crowds make noise when their teams need it most, we wait for the Jets to make plays to get loud. We don't have a great crowd and last night it was awful for a game like that.
Crowd could have been better...I have no voice today and screamed as much as I could, but this has been an ongoing problem with this stadium, they have priced out a lot of the fans who come and go nuts. Not much you can do, I show up every home game and do my part, so does my brother.
nothing will ever compare to the 09 game in giants stadium. greatest stadium atmosphere ive ever experienced in person. but yesterday people just refused to get loud and i got really pissed.
Loudest game...check that - loudest event I have ever been at was the 2004 PO romp of the Colts...stadium was shaking the whole time, never sat down, changed my life.
