Didn't the Mayans predict the end of the world on January 7th? Or was it that a circus was coming to town in the form of the NY Jets front office and coaching staff, Or was that the end of the Jets season on September 16th, 2012 when they started playing real teams. So many predictions of doom..
I disagree. If Rex held the meeting as scheduled we'd get nothing of value out of it. At least now he has time to think of what to say and do so without worrying about trashing Tanny. I think we'll get a more honest interview now, not 100% truthful (no coach is), maybe not even 60% but a lot more than we could have gotten from him had he held it as originally scheduled.
It would be perfect timing. Smart move by the Jets but I'd still expect most of the news articles from presser to bash them somehow.
What's the deal with the two candidates from ATL and SF? Are they not allowed to announce a deal until their team is eliminated or does that only apply to coaches?
That's nice, thanks for reference. However, I'm a bit reluctant to believe quotes from media that support their own posibion, I'd much rather see something from NFL web site.
They should pay the fine and not do the Presser. Also they should spend the off season making blunt bullet point press releases and refuse to answer any question with more then a "no comment". I have unfollowed all jets media in every way I can. I hope the rest of the site does to. Lets see Mehta deal with a complete black out and no twitter followers.
He had 2weeks at the BYE to install a new QB and how did that go? Rex is a fucking moron when it comes to offense. That is why he is a liability as a HC. Rex knows vacations, but he doesn't know shit about being a HC. That is why Baltimore passed on him.
playoff wins 2009-2012: NY Jets 4 baltimore 3 offensive PPG in playoffs: bal under offensive genius Hatbaugh: 18.8 Jets under offensive idiot Rex: 20
I would agree last year, but he sealed his own fate. Rex didn't do him any favors by throwing him out there week after week. He is done.
Which should come out of Rex's own wallet. If he's not going to pay for this mess with his job, let him at least pay for going into hiding this week.
And you don't give up on him because you want to hear angry howls of protest at the stadium after he throws a few picks, which he will? Seriously, what business can afford to poke its customers in the eye repeatedly? That's what putting Sanchez on the field next year would likely do. They have to fire Rex at a minimum in order to be able to keep Sanchez around next season.
