Nope no change. I thought we would finish between 7-9 and 9-7 depending on how a couple of games fell. I expected to lose the first 2 games. However, before the season I was leaning towards the 9-7 side, now I am leaning to 7-9.

    I was standing at 11-5 / 10-6 prior to the season. Now I see 8-8 to 9-7.
Let's see if our OL get jelled, we get a pass rush and Kellen starts.

I'll take the 8-8 if Kellen starts , learns through the school of hard-knocks and comes out alive.

Then I CAN START WAITING FOR OFF-SEASON MOVES >>>>YET AGAIN.

Don't worry, next year the Jets will make significant offseason moves or Tannenbaum will be out of the GM job.

Woody is not Hess. He got pissed off at Herm and Bradway after one bad offseason that could have been avoided. My guess is the kind of season the Jets are going to have this year will not leave him looking at moves like signing Andre Wadsworth, Darian Barnes and Adrien Clarke as positive things.

Next year he'll want to see a bunch of good players added to the roster and anything but will torpedo the current management.

Steady guys, look back to our season last year and recall our D started very poorly and developed into a pretty reasonable outfit. I think we can come on tons in the next few weeks and I expect us to be in the shake up late in the year. The Pats and Ravens are 2 very good sides, maybe we haven't had a chance to shine yet. I think 10 and 6 is acheivable.

Why does everybody think we're going to lose to the Giants? We may not match up talent-wise, but we have the most disciplined, penalty-free team in football. The Giants have the least disciplined team in football. They are badly injured, have no depth, no secondary, and EVERY player on that team would love to lose bad to the Jets so they can jettison Coughlin. We aren't just going to win that game, we're going to own it. That game will be a statement to the league about who the New York Jets are. We are going to ride that momentum right through Cincy and Philly and sit pretty at 5-2. Mark it down.

That's a myth. Our defense never rounded out. It got to play games against the Browns and Texans and Raiders and Dolphins and Rex Grossman on a bad day (of which he had many last year but his team won anyway on the day.)

If you adjust for the opposition the Jets defense was 27th overall before the break last year and 26th after acccording to footballoutsiders.com, who do a down by down breakdown of the teams performances and rank them according to the league average.
