I'm already done with him - he's held out twice so far - man's word can NOT be trusted - I was against giving him a big contract - especially with any money guaranteed against injury.

the Jets won and have played well in a game without him. I was against his holdout throughout the summer, people say he was the best, Jets cant win without him, worth all the money, blah blah blah. All that drama and he didnt even get what he first wanted. Hearing him during that press conference, it was clear, he had no idea what he was doing. Now hes back with the Jets and has been nothing but a bum in my opinion. Hopefully with all hes been going through this year will make him humble.

In the context of wanting his best friend killed, its just a game.

But yes, football is a business first. That's a simple truth.

Gotta love everything Ryan says here. Saying it's not vacation time and hinting it's no longer Revis's decision to make whether he plays or not. The underlying current hints that the Jets have just about had it with him.

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/10/12/revis.ap/index.html?eref=sihp

"Revis returned Monday night after missing two games with a strained hamstring, sustained in the first half of the Jets' 28-14 win over the New England Patriots in Week 2. He said after New York's 29-20 victory over Minnesota that the hamstring bothered him throughout the game.

Ryan said he was unaware of that.

"I thought just the opposite," Ryan said. "I thought about challenging him more. I never saw it."

"If he's healthy, we want to play Darrelle," Ryan said. "It's not vacation time. It's time to beat somebody. This is an AFC opponent and we need to win games so we can get into the postseason. That would be my thought. Is he going to be better three weeks from now if we don't play him or all that? I think that still has to be determined."

It doesn't help that every person in the world from his teammates to the media are annoiting him the second coming.

I wonder at what point we will start to get money back from Revis for all this time he has missed due to this injury.... /irritated sarcasm

You wait until December, when he is fully back on his game, and in a tight, big game situation. Revis will come through. I believe that. He is going through some struggles right now, but eventually will right the ship.

this is why my nick name for this fucker is not "revis-christ" or "revis-island" or whatever. my nickname for Darelle is "faggot". and i cringe everytime i see ppl walking around in 24 jerseys. faggot's selfishness put him in the position he is now, go to training camp, get in shape, its that simple. karma fucked over Revis so bad, you reap what you sew.

Revis is owed $25 million next year. Does anyone else wonder if the Jets will honor this. We have proven we can win without him and how many players can we sign for $25 million. While Revis was great last year he is not worth the $8 million he is getting this year. Should the Jets try to restructure his contract and not pay him $25 million next year if he continues to underperform.

he has gone from someone who keeps his mouth shuts and dominates (which is the biggest form of taunting IMO. acting like being all pro is everyday work)

    too much hype too fast.

now the crap with insulting Moss at every possible turn when he hasnt even covered him this year. and got burnt and injured.

then Harvin torched him a couple times.

he looks slow and tentative out there. he cant even keep his legs under him to do the press coverage he does so well.

I just didnt see the point in rushing him back. if Revis did feel 100 percent then maybe he needs to realize soreness and swelling is gonna happen when youre nursing a pulled muscle AND playing NFL football.

either way, when hes healed I'm sure he'll come back and silence critics. I do however notice the guys actual personality changing. he almost pulled a Rhodes with blaming his teammate in the zone call help when he really made a shitty effort on the play and was too slow for Harvin.

would simply like him to just fuckin rest up. if we take a loss for preserving him into the playoffs then thats what we need to do. further more, if we cant get to the playoffs cause we rested Revis an extra 2-3 weeks, this team was never ready to do what we expected.

heres to hoping they handle this better moving forward and he keeps his mouth shut and gets back to equalizing WR's

They already restructured his contract. He will not be getting $25 million next year.
