I noticed Leonard was in the area but he was actually to the side of Moss & Cromartie. If Leonard was suppose to provide the back coverage to backup Cromartie, he definitely blew it because the front cb & wr were both past him.
Ah you see, thats what I was alluding to in a thread I started about him being 100%. Rex was saying he needs to tell us that hes 100% ready to play. Revis was saying the doctors need to tell the CS that hes 100% ready. Lets all blame the Dr's. At the end of the day, the only person who would really know is Revis. Surely hes had a hammy before and would know when hes good to go.
Cromartie could not have been any closer without being inside him. Sometimes the offense just gets it done, they do have the advantage. Nothing could be done there, Cromartie played a hell of a game.
Wow, how dumb. It figures, he gets his huge contract and then he doesn't even hardly play for us. Awesome! Everyone trying to blame the CS is just sillly, Revis is the only one to blame for this, he is the one that held out like a greedy ruh-tard, and didn't keep up with staying "In-game" shape. I'm still bitter about his actions this offseason, and this really isn't helping.
agreed, that's the smart thing to do.this team can get by without him. Granted, you'd want him against GB because their receivers are pretty good but they're most likely going to be without Finley and he's a huge matchup problem, so that leaves more safety help to cover Driver and Jennings (who hasn't looked all that hot this season....i know because he's on my fuckin fantasy team. waht a bum) we need revis to be 100% against the back end stretch of the season. we need him against the bengals, texans, pats again and dolphins. and more importantly the playoffs. the boys can hold down the fort. Brandon Lloyd is having a ridiculous season but the guy will come back down to earth soon enough.
Fuck it, sit him for the next 4 weeks. Denver, bye, Lions, Browns... if we can get through that Denver game our secondary should be just fine while he heals. EDIT: shit, forgot about the Packers in there. Not a great time for Revis to be injured...
I don't know why people think sitting him for another 2 weeks will resolve the injury. He already sat for a couple weeks and then re-injured the hamstring. Basically starting the injury over. Hamstring injuries...I've had them...linger. Even Randy Moss was saying he was surprised Revis was out there this early. 2 weeks, as already illustrated, is too short. This is a 4 week injury folks.
technically hamstring "strains" are tears in the muscle. A grade 1, which he was supposed to have are supposed to be minor tears in the hamstring, but even then...it's something you need to err on the side of caution with. he needs to be 100% and go through practice for 2 weeks straight without pain before we let him back on the field
I'd love to have the Jets at 7-1 or 8-1 the next time Revis steps on the field. Maybe he'd begin to understand that he's really not that important in the scheme of things when that happened.
Revis "unsure" about if he'll play at the Broncos Any details? I knew he was off last night but didn't see an injury; saw it on ESPN just now
Obviously not, but it could possibly humble him enough to prevent a 2012 holdout. He's already sounding like he's starting to eat that humble pie if you read his post game interview transcript in the post.
I'm more worried about Drew Coleman, apparently that's why D-LO was in because Coleman was out. I haven't heard anything on him today.
I heard on the radio he is on out 2 weeks, but it was not official yet. Whatever Revis says, Rex should just sit him for 2 weeks.
Agreed. If he sits this week, he technically gets 3 weeks rest. (week up to the Denver game, week up to the bye, week up to the GB game) He needs to be resting that hammy so it's not an issue in December/January.
