I think the whole "Revis Island" thing has gotten to Revis's head, and if he gives up a few catches he has to make an excuse for why it happened. He knows he's not 100%, so instead of playing and risking his reputation he wants to wait until he's fully healthy so that he can play (hopefully) just like he did last year, even if that's not what's best for the team. If he legitimately is hurting and Rex thinks a healthy Coleman and Wilson can do the job, then it would be wise to let him rest this week and through the bye.. but after that he better get his ass in gear. It's his fault all this happened, so it's up to him to make it right and finish the season strong.
I didn't look it up, but just going from what I remember... there were two TDs at least that he gave up. I'm thinking possibly the number of passes he allowed might be a little higher...
he's hurt. He hasn't looked remotely like the Revis we know. I don't think he'll have an 09 season every year. That's asking too much. But he shouldn't be getting knocked to the ground by Percy Harvin. That shows me he's not 100%. Rest him, but he has to keep working to strengthen the leg. Get it in shape.
Revis unsure of status for Den (Update: Practiced Today after buying watches w/pimp) . BAWHAHAHAHA!!!:rofl2::lol:
I'll admire him for playing, and his presence alone makes teams prepare differently. But he's gotta get healthy. There is a playoff run this team is making and it needs everyone as healthy as possible.
Who's to say he's not 100%? Should coaches take their players word for it all the time? Like Rex said, this isn't a vacation. If the doctors clear a player, he should play.
24 looked fine in the first half. It seemed pretty clear he wore down over the course of the game. He needs to play through it and get back into game shape if no MRI is necessary.
Damn Revis has a lot to say today #Jets Revis on #Vikings Harvin throwing him to ground (Favre overthrew Percy on play): "That was a flag, that's what that should have been"
The more I think about it the more I am convinced Revis is fine. He wore down cause he isnt in game shape and got outplayed in the 2nd half. Then he starts whining about being "sore" and "swollen" but the only thing injured is his pride. I would love to think he is learning something from this whole experience (like don't listen to your douchey agents) but probably not.
Was that contact made after 5 yards? Hard to really tell in the view i got. If so, hes right but unusual to see him complain about a non-called penalty....
Right now he is the third or fourth best CB we can put on the field behind Cromartie, Coleman and "maybe" Wilson or Lowery. We probably shouldn't wish him back until he can move up that list.
