I agree with this. Revis made it a point last week that he wouldn't play until he felt 100%. Guess what? He played, he just didn't play well. The guy is human and he's gonna have an off game sometimes, this just happened to be quite possibly the worst game of his career. He'll be fine and we need to give credit to Harvin, he might be the fastest WR in the NFL

The thing with the hammy is, if you never tax the leg at full speed, it won't stretch, repair and recover enough to prevent a full blowout in the future.

Revis is going through normal soreness due to lack of conditioning, which is alarming to me, since he was supposed to be getting in tip top shape while holding out. Sounds like him and Ty Law were spending more time clubbing than training.

Lol, I just want to clarify: As much as I/we hate Geiger, I was joking about killing him and Revis avenging his death.

    Manish the Man-

Interesting, I think Rex might sit him after watching the film.

I don't like that Revis appears to be asking out of this weeks game leading up to the bye week. He got paid, why should I be surprised.

Yeah I don't know what to think of that.

yeah I'm not sure if its:

"since we're going into the bye, you can rest me now and i'll be ready against the packers."

Or, "When we are going into the bye after Denver, you can rest me."

    I think its option two.

Yeah it is tough to get the context from reading it. It does sound like Revis wants out though. Someone like Ray Lewis lets say, would not be caught dead saying that or putting on his coach. IMO

I wonder what Revis pays GeigerGeiger yearly for his "managerial services". Must not be Lebron friend money but not pennies either.

The more this continues I think it makes signing Cromartie a big priority. Up to this point he's done everything the Jets could've hoped for. And Wilson, while obviously taking his lumps as a rook was to be expected, is not ready to take over as the bookend to Revis next year.

I just want Revis to sit until he's REALLY 100% healthy. Not this back-n-forth with him saying he could play on this day, but can't commit to playing 2 days later...

Hasn't he allowed 3-4 catches in 2.5 games, while injured?

I doubt he'd publicly ask out of this game like that and say he can rest this week and next. It had to be option 2 saying he can tough out this game and rest 2 weeks after since there is no game.

    okay, fine.

Let him rest. I want him ready for the long stretch in November and December. I want a home playoff game and hopefully and a 1st round bye.

I don't see the AFC West or AFC North(EDIT: South) with the 1st round bye. It'll be Ravens/Steelers and the Jets as long as the team is healthy.

Here's to the Pats getting raped by Lewis and company.
