The most amazing part is that you're describing your own response. The article clearly separates reports from author's opinion. You don't see it because you don't want to.

There's another factor, was mentioned before.
Revis can potentially make a lot of money on the side through Nike-type endorsements. For this to happen 3 things have to be true. 1st he has to perform on the top level. 2nd, he has to be on a prominent, contending team. 3rd, he has to play in a big market.

The first is up to him. The other two are very contradictory if he stays with Jets. NY is a prominent market, but Jets are not a likely contender. On the other hand, TB might be a contender with Revis, and a highlighted role for him, but it's hardly a prominent market.

To be honest, I'm not sure if this favors the trade for Revis, or favors staying pat.

Considering past history it's a non-starter. Woody was already burned twice with Revis bitching as soon as big front load passed. He won't do it again.

What the fuck are you talking about? Sanchez will most definitely not be here until he's in his 40s...That is absolutely stupid.

oh i see it. and his opinion is BS and is based upon complete BS. You're problem is that you are apparently incapable of comprehending this basic fact.

I don't see a draft day trade for a few reasons. The other team would need to know they could work out an acceptable contract extension for them to give up the picks the Jets seems to be wanting and Revis and his group don't have a track history of quickly agreeing to terms, they will also need the time to do a physical. I don't see this happening the day of the draft and especially doubtful it would happen while a team was on the clock.

So you're saying Sanchez has another 17 years with the Jets and will stick around till he's 43?

Ok, I'll play: so how many Super Bowls rings do you think he'll end up with? And how many do you think he'll have played in?

    Hyperbole my good man.

The point being, he goes 23/12 and wins 10.... He is here for life.

This salary cap business about the team just waiitng to cut him, is...balderdash.

If he craps the bed, thats one thing. Any marginal improvement hes here long term.

Now, just because I think he will improve under MM, has norhing to do with the reasoning. Its going to be like Schottenheimer on steroids. He showed just enough to stick around long past where we should have moved on. schotty never should have survived past Favre.

    Play in 2 under Rex.

Win, probably one.,with the caveat that if both teams are essentially even.,,he wins both.

And the 2030 remark, as i just said, was hypervole. My point was any middle of e road to decent performance keeps him here long term. As in most of his career. The cap speculation is crap.

As long as he plays decently..,they arent going to jettision him.

    Sheesh...

Unless it's Tampa who doesn't seem to care about any of that. They seem perfectly willing on taking a chance that he will recover and also on him leaving after a year. They have the money and are willing to spend it to keep him if that is what they want however.

It is typical for him to say something ridiculously stupid, have 3 or 4 people call him a moron, and him in turn come back and call everybody else a moron for reading exactly what he typed.

eh, it's all good...I think Sanchez will rebound big in 2013. Give the kid some credit for bringing us close the first 2 years, If he can do that much, it's a good chance he can have a comeback year. We shouldn't underestimate his competitiveness...One thing for sure, I know he's not dogging it.....he's a gamer, so it's only fair to give the kid another shot.
