Class? Mr. Cold hard Business man suddenly wants to start talking about class? Fuck off for the rest of eternity.
Someday we will be backing a team that has players who take responsibility for stinking the house up, let's just fill the team up with guys that have a Cole Beasley attitude about playing, let's face it this team is loaded with who cares my check is clearing at the bank on Thursdays, why hustle. These guys have to go, and I don't notice Todd with them. Give me a team of Bilal Powells, late round picks hustling their asses off.
Revis ? treat him like an "ass" cya ,,,hope you whiff on your money like you did defending and tackling Whole team. with a few exceptions, are losers Wilkerson and his 86 million blaming the Jet trainers????? Guy could HIRE 6 personal trainers to help him Just disgusting...beyond pathetic
Mind boggling comments by Revis. I hope we cut him ASAP, he can go retire a Patsy or Steeler or whatever I don't give a shit.
He should retire as a Patriot. I said it back when he signed there the first time, there has never been a better player/organization fit than Revi$ and the Patriots.
Kacy Rodgers has demonstrated nothing, zero, nada. Except for the uncanny ability to play people out of position to sub optimize their talents. Boals is not too far behind. We have converted our defense into a pile of garbage. So much for a defensive minded coach.
"I've been one of the best cornerbacks to ever play this game," Revis said. "I've done a lot of things in this league that a lot of guys currently playing are chasing now. I've impacted the game in a way where it was like, 'Hey, he doesn't give up any catches to the No. 1 (pass catcher).' I set a precedent. "So, I've done enough. Obviously, everybody's a little bit concerned because that's not what I'm displaying anymore. I can't stay 24 (years old) forever. Every player ages in this game. You've got to understand that. Now, can I still play? Yes, I can still play. " What a buffoon. He can "still play"? Not from what I've seen this year. I love the way he tries to threaten/blackmail the Jets by saying that if he doesn't get another year he'll retire with another jersey on his back. Fuck you Revis$. I hope they deny you the Ring of Honor.
I recall that 60 Minutes piece they did on him years ago in which Armen Keteyian quoted an anonymous GM who said "Revis would go play for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders if it meant an extra dollar.". That guy was spot on right.
Maybe we should call them up and propose a trade. Sending him to a team that would give him that extra dollar would be the "classy" thing to do, after all.
We cut him and he'll probably go back to the Pats. Dude doesn't care who he plays for but he won't even make a roster spot.
Well, Darrell, like you have always said, "It's a business..." Times a comin for you to be on the other side of the table, one with no leverage...
We talkin about class? Class?! Can't believe this is the best he can do to try and keep at least half of that ridiculous salary next year.
Revis hasn't treated the Jets with class for his entire career. Now that he doesn't have any leverage now it's about class. Get f outta here with that Revis.
If Revis is back, I hope he tears up his knee so badly that he'll never be able to walk without a cane the rest of his life.
Good grief, HE'S the one who chose paydays over team, and now he's all team? Geebus, that's insufferable arrogance. And no humility (nor any sense of reality) at all following a disastrous season. If he had the class he thinks he should be treated with, he'd retire RFN. Interesting comment from the ESPN story: "Really? He did not care about the team when he went off to Tampa Bay or NE. But now that he is back, he is all about the team, and wants them to be loyal to him?"
