    Yep, you're totally right.

But, if you'd like a cheaper promising CB in Vontae Davis, I'd be willing to make the deal...

This is a totally fucked up and unprofessional thing to do. A Pro never brings contract shit onto the field, practice or otherwise. Play or sit out, there is no in between.

Honestly, this seems like it was a one-time thing, and Revis has learned from it. I think the best thing to do is just move on.

Manish article on clearing the air between Rex and Revis:

Darrelle Revis clears the air with Rex Ryan during hour-long meeting »

    By Manish Mehta

Darrelle Revis cleared the air with Rex Ryan after the All-Pro cornerback staged a mini protest over his contract impasse on Monday at minicamp. The cornerstone of the Jets’ defense met with Ryan for an hour after Tuesday’s afternoon practice to discuss his decision to pull himself out of several plays Monday due to lightheadedness and a sore hamstring. (Revis later admitted that his hamstring was fine).

“It was a great conversation,” Revis said after today’s final minicamp practice at the New Meadowlands Stadium. “We just wanted to see eye to eye and get on the same page. We got a little off the page. I skipped a couple chapters in the book. We talked and got back on the same page to understand each other in this whole situation.”

“We talked more so about how I feel about this whole situation to make sure I was comfortable with everything that was going on,” Revis added. “I got a little frustrated and things got as little out of hand. But we wanted to be on the same page and move forward.”

Revis, who is looking to become the highest paid cornerback in the league, stopped short of saying that he’d attend training camp in August.

"If I’m at training camp, I’m at training camp….and I’m going to work,” Revis said. “If I’m not, I don’t know.”

Said Ryan: “As a team leader and the way he competes on the field, we see exactly eye to eye. He’s committed to being here. He wants to be here. Now, whether he’s here for training camp, I don’t know what that answer is. That will be a personal decision.”

Revis, who has three years remaining on his six-year rookie deal, is due $1 million this season. Ryan remained confident that his star defensive player won’t be a distraction moving forward.

“We have the same goals,” Ryan said. “We have the same vision for this football team. I’m excited that I have Darrelle…. I believe Darrelle is the best corner in football. I’ve said that for a long time. But I also think he’s going to be a tremendous leader moving forward for our team.”

“Anything associated with Darrelle Revis should be positive and not negative,” Ryan added. “For him, that’s out of character. We spoke about those things. We’re on a mission to win a Super Bowl. We know we have to be pulling in the same direction. I believe Darrelle and I are.”

The Jets' announced that 12,000 people attended today's practice. (That's 2,000 more than what the Giants announced for their practice yesterday).

Rex Ryan heaped plenty of praise on Mark Sanchez for his offseason progress.

"No player that I've ever been around worked as hard as Sanchez did in the offseason. No player," Ryan said. "Yeah, I had Ray Lewis and all that. But the mental preparation and everything else that this young man had to do day in and day out and what he signed up to do... He exceeded everybody that I've ever been around. And I've been around great ones."

"I'm not saying he's the greatest player I've ever been around... not yet," Ryan added. "But the strides he made this offseason were absolutely incredible. The commitment he had was unlike anybody I've seen."
