So Bart Scott is the first alternative...

And David Harris is the second alternative...

Does anyone else see something wrong with this?

how is Revis starting? I agree he should be, but if he was third in voting, how did he become starter. Doesnt voting determine starters as in baseball?

No, T.J.? WTF! and no Harris ? What a cluster fuck.
I can see how faneca went since he's a big reason why where the #1 rushing attack but TJ and Harris are more deserving.

I think he was only third in fan voting. Once the coaches and players votes got submitted it probably put him at #1.

Statistics are a hard sell because it doesn't paint the picture of the player completely. Vilma would often be close to the league lead in tackles for several years. He was also chasing someone coming out of the backfield that just picked up 5 yards.

Probowl is inevitably a popularity contest. I guess that's why sports writers have the 1st team all-pro distinction.

    My thoughts:

I like the pro-bowl stuff. And the players do to, so what the hell. I don't always catch the pro-bowl game but when i do i like to see j-e-t-s helmets out there doing well.

Good for Revis! Hawaii is adding a new island...

Rhodes was #1 in fan balloting for the Toilet Bowl. I can see Mr Whiffle yelling "don't squeeze the Charmin". rhodes is sooo soft.

Thomas Jones ain't getting any younger, so this was probably his last shot.

With Cincy getting the cold shoulder, they may be pissed and extra pumped for Sunday. damn.

me again with a pro-bowl question, particullary on Defense:

There are 2 types of Defenses, traditional 4-3 and newer 3-4, both requiring totally different types and styles players (see Jenkins, Villma).

How does the pro bowl balleting handle this, and what D is played in the acutal game?

Faneca really has no business being a starter on the squad. I'd say that 2nd team alternate is more suitable, when considering his rapid decline.

So fan voting only accounts for a percentage of the votes?

I do not think Pace can play anyhow..... remember Shawn Merriman and Jason Taylor whining about the drug suspension and being able to play in the Pro-Bowl?

I think it's a third, or maybe even less.
