Shouldn't he worry about doing his own job, instead of trying to play GM?

Shouldn't he do things like make sure that his team is revved up as they go into the AFCCG, and not say stupid crap like, "We didn't realize what was at stake."?

What do his current teammates think when they hear him lobbying for other people to take their jobs?

He's a talented player, but I've lost a lot of respect for him in the last year or so.

How can anyone be a serious Chad Johnson fan? Like thinking "Man, he is really good as a WR!" I just don't see it. Especially now.

I'd rather have Braylon and Santonio, thanks though.

Rex probably told Revis to say this in order for the Jets to steal all of the non-offseason headlines,.

I'm not a big fan of him being pals with this asshole.

His whole career has just been about him, and being a team distraction. How many times has he wanted out of Cincy now? He's appeared in only 2 playoff losses. Chad doesn't have what we need. Revis certainly doesn't need this ass rubbing off on him.

I love Braylon and really, really hope we manage to bring him back with Holmes. But the thing is he's going to command a salary in the 5,6 million dollar range. Ochocinco coming off a down year could probably be had for a low cost with incentives and things. It's not like he's a bum, he's still a serviceable player.. and on a contract where he has to come in and prove himself, with Rex here and his buddy Revis, he will probably behave himself. We could do a lot worse.

I'd rather pay the money to Braylon, because he will actually perform. Whereas Ocho will not.

Ocho only played 14 games and had 831 yards.. he can still perform. Especially as the #2 receiver and in an offense where he isn't the focal point. The concern with him isn't so much will he perform as much as it is, will he be willing to take a reduced role and not be "the man".

I think given a chance to get out of Cincy, to play for Rex, to be with his buddy Revis, he would be willing to take a backseat for a year and prove himself. That being said, i totally agree with you and would MUCH rather have Braylon back. I'm a big fan of Braylon.

Seriously, Revis needs to STFU. He wants Jets to resign Cro, Santonio, Braylon, and now 85. How about u take a fuckin pay cut?

I think i'm in the minority of people here, since i'm a big Ochocinco fan. He's a joke, but a pretty funny joke. He raced a fuckin horse for charity, challenged Lebron to 1-on-1 for charity and challenged Floyd Mayweather to a boxing match for charity.

But honestly, I wouldn't look too deep into this. It's pretty well documented that the two of them are friends, and probably just wants his friend on his team.

Well I think he wants Edwards. They were playing a 2 hand touch game during the season after practice once and Holmes beat Revis for a TD. Revis no longer has any regard for Holmes.

Can we just sign him with a $1 cap number and have Revis pay him under the table?

I would only want the Jets to sign Chad if:

    1) We lose Braylon, not Holmes.

    2)He came cheaper than BE

fixed it... Ochocinco/Johnson is one of those veterans I would take into consideration if we can't keep one of the big 2 under contract... but he'd have to be released before he even becomes an option. And he'd have to be pretty cheap too...
