Ok. So he is making $1 million this year and the Jets promised him a new contract. How does a promise of a new contract translate into Revis asking for and thinking he deserves to be paid more than any other CB in football after only three years in the league and with three years left on his current deal, which, by the way, was a great deal for a rookie???? Why isn't a raise over the $26 million he is due over the next three years not good enough? The Jets have no obligation to pay him as if he were a free agent tomorrow. If you were driving a Honda Accord for three years and I was your father and I promised you a new car, would you say that my offer of an Acura was insulting and the you wanted a Lamborgini????? That is how absured Revis' demands are. There is a huge difference between a new contract and demanding to be paid more than any other CB in football. And his theatrics are infintile and insulting to the team concept, the fans, and his teammates who are due new contracts before him (Mangold). I have lost all respect for him. He is now officially a diva. I am surprised he is not a WR the way he is acting. Horrible. How any Jets fan can take his side is beyond me. How can you not see that his demands are unreasonable, that if the Jets give in they will never have enough money to pay their other core players, and that paying Revis will be the beginning of the end for the Jets rise to succes?? If you can't see this, you have no clue.
