Be sure to remind those people how Charles Woodson got torched in a playoff game vs Arizona. Also tell them how Woodson did not play in the second half of Super Bowl 45 and was absolutely NOT the reason why Green Bay won that particular day. Also, why do they include college honors? Hell, if they want to combine that stuff, then these people might also think Gino Torretta was on par with Ken O'Brien as an NFL QB.
i just dont get how revis was denied DPOY in 09. i know charles woodson had 11 ints, but he got burned all the time.
Revis is more physical, but its true, he hasnt accomplished some of the things Sanders and Woodson have, so how can he truly be compared. Plus they did it longer. if he can go 10 years or more at this high level, then ill consider him one of the greats. its like Jeremy Lin, should Revis be assessed on such a small body of work? Is Tracy Mc Grady an all time great? He was hot for a minute, got the money and notoriety, then what? So i think time is the main factor for me, longevity of excellence.
Sanders was spectacular, especially in the return game, but Revis is the better all-around cornerback.
