Revis Debacle Clearly On Woody & Idzik

Brandon flowers became availble to in June and they made no push for him either. Pathetic.

 

Talk about your straw man arguments: The Giants only won six games with DRC . And we only won FOUR without him.

I mean, if you're going to go all out stupid, I can top that!! I'm the MOST Stupid!!

 

OK, then. If we had your beloved cover corner. DRC or Cro. How many games would the Jets have won.

 

Here's how I think it went:

Idzik: "I'm glad you love our facilities. The scheme fits your boy to a T. I'm going to write a number on a piece of paper..."
DRC Agent: "whoa!! ah, no, too low...I can't let him sign for this"
Idzik: "Ok, but we can be here all day...."

[hours pass, DRC is playing pinball....]

Idzik: "Sign for...THIS MUCH!!
DRC Agent: "This can't be right! It's $10K more than the last offer...You DO know I have the Giants on speed dial..."
Idzik: "and you DO know I got 99 problems but a corner ain't one?'
DRC Agent: "actually, I know you have 99 problems and TWO corners ARE one of them..."
Idzik: "OK, but we can be here all night..."

[a five-minute staring contest ensues, DRC is playing air hockey with a Flight Crew member]

DRC Agent: "welp, gotta bounce...Cee Ya, wouldn't wanna BE ya..."
Idzik to himself: "I keep saying, 'he'll be back, but tonight again I've lied..."

Here is a simple chart to help all Jet fans ...

If had had signed DRC we would've no doubt won 6 games, just like the Giants

If we signed Cro, we would've gotten one of the NFC wild-cards

If we had signed Revis, we would've had the best record in the AFC. We would've especially shut down Rogers & the Pack and Jordy Nelson would've never scored on that long touchdown...oh, wait a minute...

I'll answer my own question. We would have won 4 games.

 

Unless they were going to play QB at a higher level than Geno, this is just wishful thinking. Because even when we had those guys mins DRC we only went to the playoffs 2 out of 6 years rex was here.

 

None of those guys are game changers. Maybe Revis one game. But as Woody said at his presser he didn't think he could sign Darrelle. Aaron Rodgers-now you're talking. I'm sure some of you will blame Idzik for not getting Aaron Rodgers, too.

yes, and then we go 6-10 instead of 4-12. yes, I feel so much better now. Maybe 7-9. This team is not a whole of a hell of a lot better though.

 

Here is what everyone who is against signing a corner is missing. And most of you anti corners people are Idzik folk also.

Signing a drc /revis/ cro or flowers shows the team and fans they are about fielding a better product. does it make the team a play off contender more then likely no. But it should have added wins how many no one can tell. But I can signing someone get Idzik another yr more then likely.

But not signing anyone shows the gm had a no plan on how to address a bad corner issue and this single issue shows how overwhelmed idzik was and how unprepared he was to make adjustments.

 

They went after corners but didn't make the deal. Either did plenty of other teams in competition for players. How many good corners were on the market. It didn't affect the won lost record at all. With Revis: maybe one W. As a Jets fan I didn't feel neglected even though sure I would have liked one of those signings.
