You have to keep Engstrand IMO.

If you hire a head coach, and he has done such a bad job that he feels like he has to fire BOTH coordinators after his first season, then he's not the right coach.

And I don't mind Engstrand. Thought he showed some flashes, and he was a first-time playcaller. Hopefully, he is better in year 2. Hard to look good when Fields refuses to throw the ball and when Brady Cook is Brady Cook.

You advocate for keeping Glenn yet you want to fire the OC after we’ve already fired the DC. Who the hell do you think is coming here to work for one year under Glenn before they all get fired?

Yeah good post. It is probably smarter to get better support around him. I'm not petitioning for the OC to be fired, I just wouldn't care but it's probably not the smart move.

On defense at least Glenn can call the plays himself. It will not be great, but it is what it is at this point. But the biggest thing though is a QB coach. If we get a QB in the draft how to convince a decent QB coach with some experience to even come here? Maybe if Daboll does not want to move if his family is still here, kids in school? He probably gets an OC job somewhere though. Indeed we are truly fucked.

I’m telling you they’re going to end up naming Chris Harris as the DC with Glenn calling plays because they’re not going to be able to hire anyone given Glenn’s job security is nil. It’s fucking pathetic.

I don't think Glenn calls the plays. He has a built in scapegoat in Harris. Remember, Glenn's not an X's and O's guy because those don't matter, he's focused on being the "Head M'fer in charge" so why would he bother? 2025 is going to look GOOD by comparison to what 2026 is going to be.

Jonathan Gannon? His Defenses were never any good in Arizona, but he was a very good DC for the Eagles. I think he would sign up for a shot to show he can still do that job -- and this D was SO bad, it is guaranteed to look better next year, even if it just because we bring in some FAs. There is some enticement to having such a low bar and HC on the hot seat if you need to show what you've got so you can get a better gig right away.

Just a thought-- it is not going to be a desirable job unless you're in very specific circumstances.
