Wow.. He was perhaps the most loveable of all the original Addams Family characters. All that hair under his derby was classic!

    Rest in Peace...

Question: How many of the original cast of the TV show are still with us? I'm curious. I would imagine Wednesday is. Not sure about the boy though. Carolyn Jones and John Astor are both gone. I think Uncle Fester is too.

John Astin was Sean Astin's step-father. I never knew that until 2 weeks ago when I was reading about him.

    RIP Cousin Itt.

But can we really be sure he was Cousin Itt?
John Astin feels that the news of his death that you have reported is exaggerated. He is still alive at the age of 91 (his birthday was a couple of weeks ago).

Jackie Coogan (Uncle Fester) died a long time ago (1984). Talk about an interesting life - he was a great child star (The Kid, Oliver Twist), whose millions of dollars of earnings were stolen by his mother and stepfather (resulting in the first child actor laws). He was engaged to Betty Grable when he was 21 and she was 19, but their marriage only lasted two years. He was a glider pilot during World War II in the Pacific theater, landing British troops behind Japanese lines in Burma.

My favorite character in the show, Ted Cassidy (Lurch), died in 1979. His signature line, "You rang?", was an ad lib (the first time). He faked playing the harpsichord on the show, but was actually an accomplished organist. Little known fact: he also played Thing, except in scenes involving both Lurch and Thing. I also liked him in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid ("Rules? In a knife fight? No rules!").

Blossom Rock (Grandmama) died in 1978. I have to work hard to recall a single word she ever said on the show. Ken Weatherwax (Pugsley) died in 2014. His aunt was Ruby Keeler, and his uncles were Lassie's trainers.

Lisa Loring (Wednesday) is still alive, although she has had her troubles. She got married when she was 15 (!), had a baby, and got divorced when she was 16. She's been married and divorced 3 times since then, with her third husband being a porn star who was doing porn shoots without her knowledge while they were married, and she went to rehab for a heroin addiction.

The fake autopsy or the real one at Area 51?

Raul Julia was one of the best actors I ever saw but he was undeniably an alien as well.
