The problem is that QBs who did far less last year are getting paid 16-18m now. They are younger, but it still raises Fitz value much higher than the 8m that everyone was projecting originally. 18m for Brock is ridiculous. It really sucks because the last thing the Jets need is a bidding war over Fitz or a trade for Kaepernick. It almost guarantees RG3 is NYJ.

That doesn't mean that Mac has to do what other teams do. We aren't effing lemmings. If someone tells you that you'll gain 30 IQ points and with that you'll make $10 million a year if you castrate yourself, then proceeds to castrate himself, would you?

There needs to be a middle price range for QBs. IMO your reasoning is flat out wrong. Those younger QB's contracts have nothing to do with Fitz. They are getting paid on upside, potential improvement/production and to be locked up longer term. Fitz has no upside and he's a short term stop gap. There is absolutely zero correspondence between their contracts.

Mac is doing what's best for the Jets and for the NFL long term. It's Lurie, and the morons in Houston and Washington that are ruining the NFL.

Also, how is it a problem for the Jets if those morons are hamstringing their caps for years to come on what are likely mediocre QBs? That's only going to help the Jets and help keep other FA prices down because those morons won't have the available cap space to sign any FAs, and may wind up having to cut players that can help the Jets to get under the cap in future years.

Honestly, I can't see Fitz leaving unless someone drastically overpays him, and I don't think Denver is the team to do that. Gets to keep his family home, has good shot at playoffs, knows the system, knows Chan, has great chemistry with his teammates. He'd be foolish not to comeback unless he strikes gold on a really dumb deal that is not worth giving out.

    Is the 10 mil/yr guaranteed?
Are we talking franks and beans or just beans?
Would I literally have to do it with my own hands or could I got of a surgeon?

Does anyone know what we offered Fitz?

Is he screwing the team that revived his career? A 32 year old with a broken leg...

I think you need to have a tampon inserted to understand that.

Because we had two 1,000 yard recivers ,Fitz broke records and had a carrer year also had us at 10 wins which almost every year is good enough for a playoff spot.We haven't had QB play like we did last year in the history of the Jets .....being that he broke the TD passes record lol.Not to mention a top 10 offense for the first time since the merger.Fitz is good enough to get to the playoffs with and make a run.I'm more worried about Revis being able to still shut people down after Watkins raped him in Buffalo

Nothing in life is guaranteed except death and taxes.
Castration mean removal of the beans.
You would have to do it yourself. Oh, and lest I forget...the knife is a butter knife (dull as a spoon).

The second most acute pain I have ever experienced was the first shot I got into the right vas deferens.

    Worse than a root canal.

The first most acute pain I ever experienced was the second shot I got into the left vas deferens.

Because of the anxiety I had waiting for it.

    Wowza.

I tear up now in remembrance.

Mac is calling Fitz's bluff. I think he has handled these negotiations perfectly. He set his number and stood by it.

It was cold out. I sat on a frigid bluestone kneewall until the wifey showed up.

Got home and put a sack of frozen peas on my ...sack whilst polishing off some bourbon.

All in all an ok weekend.

The game plan kinda screwed revis. They had him playing off the whole game. Yes revis is the shut down corner he was once but he is still a top CB in the nfl

I think at this point both sides should meet halfway and get it done. Both sides need each other, I get why the Fitz camp wants more than the Chase Daniel amount. They need to mediate big time.
