I keep hearing he and the Jets are nowhere close but is he close with ANYone? How long does this drag out before it's obvious the outside market isn't there?

Problem is until Denver lands a QB, the market could be there.

Maybe call the Bengals and see what they'd want for AJ McCarron...

They were talking last night on Sirius XM about how big of a mistake it would be for the Jets to throw big money at Fitzpatrick. They were saying that last year we got all of Fitzpatrick. The very best he has looked ever. Is that something he can maintain?? maybe, maybe not, but its not as if he can possibly bring any more to the table.

So you are basically giving him a big deal based on his performance last year and not based on the idea of having a good QB into the future. That's where bad deals come from. Smart teams look ahead. They were saying it makes more sense to let him walk and sign a guy like RG3 or trade for Kaepernick, etc, because even if those guys bring you less in 2016 than Fitzpatrick (which they may not) ,they offer more potential reward beyond 2016.... and they would be cheaper, more team friendly deals.

    I agree with them

There is 10yrs of tape on fitz. The league knows what he is. He had a nice year last for sure, but he played terribly when we needed him the most (both bills games for example). Mac will stick to his guns. Elway knows what fitz is too. I doubt Broncos will pay him big money. Rams already had him. He will be back here or be a backup somewhere else. If it comes down to geno and petty battling it out for starter I'm fine with that.

Good, that is the most we should even consider paying Fitz.

That's a lowball offer. They shouldn't pay him Bradford/Brock money obviously, but he should get more than that.

We should throw a 6th for glennon in Tampa. I've been a big fan of his for 2 years. His rookie year in 2013 he went 19:9 TD:INT ratio throwing to no body. He could do pretty wel here with decker Marshall and forte

Thank you Mac. If he sticks to his word and Denver doesn't go apeshit, I think we are going to get Fitz back at the price we want him at. The pool is going to dry up.

I think it would be a really big mistake to let Fitzy walk. I understand that he had some bad games, but there is no other qb option available that can consistently move the offense like Fitzy. We have a very small window of Marshall and Decker being in their prime, and Fitz, Marshall and Decker could be even better next year with more familiarity and better weapons around them.

RGIII & Kap literally can't pick up a blitz to save their career and they're not even worth discussing.
